Starting my day off with loving words of my craft is MY JAM!! π
Krystle started growing out her silvers, but they were heavy and bold on the left, less on the right. So we highlighted the right to a pale blonde but toned it super ashy, and stuck lowlights in her bold silver on the left to break things up.
Basically created balance along her face framing, where most her silver hairs were concentrated. Now her transition to silver is softer. βΊοΈ

What an honour, and a pleasure, to give this man his last haircut. My father-in-law, William "Bill" Bushfield passed on, Feb 11th, 2026.
Being a hairdresser, we meet people at so many places in life. I've given haircuts at the hospital for patients who are being treated, at home to new moms at the beginning of their postpartum journey, brides at wedding venues just hours before starting life with their chosen one, and at nursing homes for the elderly.
I've known Bill for 17 years, I've been part of the family for 11 years, but have always felt like I was part of the Bushfield family since day 1. He is a wonderful man, so full of love for all. Ryan and I are so lucky we got to spend his last day with him.
Please excuse me if I need to step away to support my husband and family during this time.

2025. Another year of creativity with hair and makeup, and plenty of opportunities to practice my craft while building relationships with the people I meet and those who return to my chair. I took the plunge almost 14 years ago to fully dive into this industry, and to see where I am today is nothing short of amazing π€©
From having clients with me since the very beginning, to clients who travel from all over Texas, parts of the US, and parts of the world just to sit in my chair and trust in me absolutely brings so much joy and gratitude to my heart βΊοΈ
And my brides and weddings of the year, in and around Houston then all the way to Portugal. Brides who have a close connection to my family and I, and past brides who have referred me to new brides. It has been such an honour you considered me! I absolutely love doing weddings and I never tire of getting someone glammed up for their special moment π©·β€οΈ
Thank you 2025! May we all find joy, peace, and abundance in the new year!! π₯³

The reason I traveled to the south of Portugal. To witness the union of one of my longest and dearest clients . And to have the honours of getting her ready for one of the biggest chapters of her life.
I've traveled many times to do weddings, whether in-state or overseas. But this was so, so special for me.
Laurel has been in my chair since I graduated from Paul Mitchell School over 12 years ago. I've heard her ups and downs of dating as I gave her hair a wash and got her ready for events. And when she finally found him, I had the pleasure to witness it from behind the chair.
Being asked to be a part of her day was such an honour, and something I didn't take lightly. I didn't even let an impending sinus infection that creeped in a week before departure slow me down (and that now has possibly become acute bronchitis as we head back home π« ). When I say I never cancel on my brides, I mean it y'all!
Congratulations to the newlyweds!! Thank you again for having Ryan and I be a part of it! Wishing you a life together full of love, warm memories and joy β€οΈπ°π»ββοΈπ€΅πΌββοΈ

Another announcement π£π£
After the almost 2 weeks that I'll be back in Houston, I'll be heading down to South East Asia for a wedding within my family. The salon will be closed again from Oct 18th until Nov 4th. I will be back in salon Nov 5th, 2025.
After that I'm staying put for the rest of the year!! π
I know I'll be gone for a lot of Oct, and most of my clients who see me on a regular basis have booked their time with me either before I leave for Portugal, or during the tiny window I'm home in Houston, or after I return from Asia.
There is still space if you're interested in coming in. I will try to be as flexible as I possibly can to accommodate. And if you have any questions about anything, I'm always available βΊοΈ Thank you for trusting me with your hair β€οΈπ©·

Totally digging this "Old Money" trend. Seamless dimension, with highlight shades reminiscent of the highlights you had when you were a carefree kid (no bills, no job, no worries!).
