Papi was shot at close range with a shotgun April 1, 2024. He is a SURVIVOR. Oct. 2024 Papi has made an amazing recovery.
He is back to being active and loving life. Loves to show us how fast he can run and shows off while plsying with toys his toys.

Visiting with Papi. Stitches have been removed from his lip, looks like it’s healed nicely.

I spent a few hours with Papi today. He was so happy to see me and immediately gave Eskimo kisses and got in my lap. They decided to put a feeding tube in yesterday. This is good and will help his jaw and mouth heal. It will also ensure he is getting nutrition his body needs to heal.
Papi is in no better shape than he was Saturday when we brought him back to Texas A&M Small Animal Hospital. His care has been less than standard and we are extremely unhappy. They released him and his poor mouth won’t shut and he is crying.

We are on our way back to hospital for Papi, the brace on his lower jaw is broken/loose. Poor baby is miserable, please pray for him.
