God is holy, righteous, and just.
As important as these qualities are, he reveals them within his compassion, graciousness, and patience with overflowing mercy and love.
We can obey, worship, and show reverent respect to God. We can also love, appreciate, and adore our Father in heaven for his loving grace!
Then, we can lean into his challenge to reflect his righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful lovingkindness!
We can be "compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love," like our Father!

Jesus' parable challenges our frequent preconceptions about those we should help. Building on the teaching of the Lord in the Old Covenant (Deuteronomy 10:17-18; Jeremiah 7:5-7; Malachi 3:5), Jesus emphasizes the essentiality of each of us helping those truly in need.
When we help those who can't help themselves those who have gotten themselves in trouble, those who have been falsely accused, those who are facing death, widows, the fatherless we are helping Jesus himself.
We see Jesus' face in the faces of those we bless.
Why?
Because compassion and grace come from Jesus. He would be among us, helping others experience grace out of their hopelessness and despair.

“Seeing Christ in the Crisis”
We all go through times of crisis at one time or another.
Life has a way of surprising us with storms we never expected—illness, loss, financial strain, or family struggles. In those moments, it is easy to focus only on the problem and feel overwhelmed.
Yet, Scripture reminds us that the presence of Christ makes all the difference.
The disciples revealed this on the Sea of Galilee when the winds roared and the waves threatened to sink their boat. In their fear, they cried out—and then they saw Jesus walking on the water, bringing peace into the storm (Matthew 14:25–27).
When we face crises, our first instinct may be panic, but our greatest hope is to look for Christ in the midst of it.
He may not remove the storm immediately, but He promises to be with us, to STRENGTHEN us, and to GUIDE us through.
May we keep our eyes focused God, even in the darkest hour, and discover that in Christ, every crisis can become a place of peace and growth.
