Dear Miss Tree, You don’t know me but my mom entered an essay contest about my battle with cancer when I was a little girl and her essay letter won. my parents signed ND contract that they would never be introduced to, given contact information or contact with the hair donor so I never got to meet you. My mom said the contest mentioned the hair donor would not be invited to meet the child when the team came to deliver my wig.
Im not sure if you remember, but I’m the girl that you shaved your hair and donated for me to have a custom child size wig, they sent your hair to a lab to make me a custom wig that my mom won for me from her essay. When they dropped off my wig I asked the officer if I could see what you looked like with your hair before and after with it shaved and you pic texted him so I could see your hair long and shaved hair, The team told my parents they asked all of the makeup artists at the network and they all said no, they said the last makeup artist on the list they called said yes and she was jumping up and down so happy and screaming. I was young then and I asked why was she last on the list, does she have bad hair? and they said no her last name starts with a V alphabetically. Well, Im old enough to have a phone now and I’ve been trying to find out who the V girl makeup artist could be. I can’t explain why but I just wanted to ask you so many questions. I finally found you on your IG I recognized your head shaved and your face. I wanted to tell you thank you because I remember feeling so confident wearing such silky hair and it fit so well on my head. I wanted to tell you I’m cancer free, I still have your hair donor wig and I keep it in my gun safe. Ive learned a lot about you on your FB pages and IG. You made a funny video of a singer making a Keurig and I laughed so hard. I saw her music video trailer, I wanted to go to meet you at the premier, but I didn’t know where it was being premiered. I know I would not get in any trouble because I didn’t sign the ND. Your hair is so long again I wish they would have let me have it your hair color instead of matching mine. I saw pictures of your son he is dreamy beautiful. When I see all the different things you do it makes me wish I could be in your life somehow, maybe when I’m 18. Some of my questions…Can you make more videos please? I love hearing your voice. Can you make more funny videos too? I bet you are fun person. I’m almost 16 and will soon have a truck.
My dad is really old and his fav band is an old band named the doors and the singer is a poet, his last name is Morrison, so that’s how I remember your son’s name so well. Anyway there is a song called riders on the storm and my dad plays it all the time, more than all the other songs he plays all the time. I thought it was a phase he would outgrow but I’ve been hearing the doors since I was born.
Can you do some hair and makeup videos for sensitive skin? Can you make a video with Morrison too because he’s kind of like a big brother to me since we have the same hair😁
How much was the check donation that the old billionaire donated to the kids with cancer?
I have a lot of questions and I hope you don’t mind. Did people treat you differently with your shaved head? Can you tell me about that and did you like growing your hair out?

Mostly wanted to tell you the gift of confidence you gave me, well that gave my whole family and gave my parents real hope.

I wanted to tell you one last thing I found out first your initials are TV like television and you grew up to work in TV😁

Ooo My initials are JP like jamming pajamas, I’m in track and I wear thick pajamas over my running clothes while I warm up and stretch. Thank you miss tree, I don’t know if you can write me back but I found you and it took me a while to get the courage to write you. You are fearless and I think about that before every race.
Also your pictures are beautiful, maybe you can do my hair and makeup for my senior pictures in a few years. This is a picture of your long hair that I show people because it’s recent, people like to see them because a lot of people don’t understand chemo. I know I don’t know you but you are a selfless person that helps others and i read about that man that broke your arm in front of Morrison. From my experience shame is the hardest thing to wear.
