So what's in it that makes it so great? Below is the ingredients list and definitions to all those hard to pronounce scientific names. 👩‍🔬

Ethylhexyl Palmitate – A derivative of palm oil often used as an organic replacement for silicone. The re-fattening agents in palm oil help to restore lost natural moisture over the skin

Cyclopentasiloxane – A moisturizing silicone that mixes well with palm oil to condition skin and give proper viscosity to our make-up remover as well as many other cosmetics. Its light, not heavy, which works well for normal to oil skin types.

The remaining ingredients are either used as an emulsifier or as a preservative with antimicrobial properties to block bacterial growth. All meet or are below the acceptable concentrations standards for the EU.

Ricinoleth-40 – Emulsifier

Phenoxyethanol – Nature Identical to green tea used to form a pH-balanced ingredient effective as a preservative in cosmetics. It’s been tested on the skin and eyes and it is non-irritating and non-sensitizing at the levels in SHAKE IT OFF.

Polysorbate-20 - Derived from fruits and berries. Serve as a dispersing agent to mix oil and water and has a soothing effect on the skin.

Sodium Dehydroacetate – High antimicrobial properties used as a preservative in skin care.

Sorbic Acid – Derived from the berries of the mountain ash tree used as a preservative.

Undecylenic Acid - A naturally occurring type of unsaturated fatty acid that is used as a preservative.
