What are the best Koreans beauty secrets?
--------------------------------------------------------------
It suffices to say that Korean Women on average use 26 steps in their skin care regimen. It sounds like a lot, doesn’t it?
Of course you don’t have to do all 26 steps but you can try to incorporate some into your already existing beauty routine. Here’s a few tips and tricks that can help you achieve that flawless and blemish-free complexion all Asian women have:

*Brush your skin
———————-
To keep the skin toned and soft Asian Women brush their face once a day with a soft bristle brush. Doing so helps the skin getting prepped for the serums and creams applied after and allows them to get absorbed better.

*Moisturize your Skin
—————————-
Don’t be scared to use lots of moisturizer. Asian women don’t go easy on moisturizer. They slap it on the face starting from the neck working their way up to the for head. They don’t rub it in either; they just leave it there for the skin to soak it.

*Use sunscreen everyday
———————————-
It is common knowledge now that using sun screen helps with wrinkles and premature aging. Asian women know better and carry umbrellas around to protect their face from UVB and UVA rays.

*Camellia oil as moisturizer.
————————————-
Camellia oil has been used as a cooking oil in Japan for centuries. Women also use it as a moisturizer, hair conditioner and also to treat stretch marks. It is popular because it doesn’t clog the pores and absorbs quickly into the skin.

*Get a massage
————————
Massages play a huge role in Asian beauty regimes. They use massages as a way of detoxing the body as well as improving blood supplies to the skin.

*Use oil as cleanser.
—————————-
While many women in the West are trying to find oil free skin care products, the women of Asia prefer to use oil to cleanse their skin. They use light, natural plant oils that dissolve sunscreen and makeup without leaving any residue or blocking up the pores.

*Turmeric face mask
—————————-
Turmeric is another one of Asian beauty secrets. It is an ingredient for skin care products, and it is used as an anti-ageing face mask to reduce wrinkles. To make your own DIY Turmeric face mask mix a teaspoon of turmeric with a tablespoon of almond milk and a teaspoon of raw honey. Apply it to the face and leave it on for about ten minutes before rinsing off.

*Acne spot treatment.
——————————-
Green tea is loaded in anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, and naturally works as an antibacterial. When applied on the skin directly, it helps sooth acne, and can keep it away.

*Rice Water toner
—————————-
Rice water helps improve soft skin and hair. Soak some white rice with water, then drain the water, keeping it aside. You can use it as a toner with cotton pads. Or you can wash your hair, then rinse with the rice water, let your hair sit for a couple minutes, then rinse again.

*Try a Jade Roller
—————————
It is the same concept as brushing your face with a soft bristled brush. Using a jade roller or stone on your face gets your circulation going and helps to detoxify. Grab the jade roller and slowly roll it upward and outward from the center of your face. For flat stones, you can “rest” on the stones after moisturizing by placing them on your face for five to 10 minutes

*Get Herbs.
______________
Bei Qi, Huang Qi, and Goji are three herbs often used in traditional Chinese medicine for skincare. Bei Qi is known for improving skin clarity; Huang Qi is great for revitalizing tired, aging skin; and Goji is known to defend skin against aging.

*Criss Cross False Eyelashes.
—————————————
Many of the false eyelashes sold in American mainstream stores have lashes that are glued straight onto the strip. Asian false eyelash strips are slightly different because they are created with a criss cross method. These falsies look more natural than their straight application counterparts.

*Korean Body Scrubs
—————————-
If you want your entire body to be as smooth as a baby's, then you have to get a Korean body scrub. You can purchase these spa mitts cheaply off of the internet, and you'd be amazed/disgusted at all of the dead skin you'll see sloughed off when you use them.

*DIY* Remove Cellulite,Loss Inches and Tone Your Skin*
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Body wrapping is a therapeutic treatment that is used to detoxify the body using simple all natural ingredients. These simple readily available ingredients have been used over the years traditionally to tighten and tone the skin and help stimulate the body to rid itself of trapped toxins, excess fat and excessive trapped lymph fluids. This detoxification improves the appearance of cellulite, creates inch loss, and helps tighten and tone the skin.

*HERBAL BODY WRAP RECIPE :
----------------------------------------------
Mix a cup of corn oil with 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice and 2 teaspoons dried thyme. Massage into hip, thigh, and buttock areas. Cover with plastic wrap to lock in body heat.
(For extra results lay a heating pad over each area for five minutes)

*CLAY BODY WRAP RECIPE:
-----------------------------------------
1 cup Bentonite or green clay
1/4 cup sea salt
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 cups water
Boil water and add sea salt until it is dissolved. Add remaining ingredients and stir. Adjust the water if necessary to form a wet paste. Rub the mixture over your entire body and cover yourself with thin towels or a clean white sheet. Most salons will recommend that you use proper wrapping sheets as the compaction helps to squeeze the tissues together for greater results. Lay in the tub for a minimum of 45 min. to one hour.

*Cellulite and Fat Fighting Ingredient Tips :
------------------------------------------------------
Coffee Grounds
Rub coffee grounds on cellulite/fat area before taking a shower every night. The coffee helps firm the area and lessen that "cheese" look.

*WHY?
Caffeine is the first ingredient in most cellulite treatments. The same way caffeine gets us moving in the morning, it can also help to get our fat cells moving. This trick, employed by famous models and beauty contestants, involves rubbing warm coffee grounds into the cellulite-laden areas of your legs, using your hands or a loofah mitt. To intensify the treatment, take a rolling pin and roll the area to further smooth out the cellulite

*Drink Green Tea Daily:
------------------------------
*WHY?
According to research published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition "consumption of green tea produces thermogenesis and increases energy expenditure and fat oxidation in humans.
Green tea is an active ingredient used in many of the top weight loss products. When a weight loss product claims it contains natural ingredients, green tea is nearly always in the list. Did you know that?

*Essential Oils for fighting Cellulite and Fat:
-------------------------------------------------------
Buy essential oils (they are cheap on Ebay) and use them for a massage everyday. If you hate the feel of oil, try adding the oils in a cream which you use as your moisturizer. A simple way to do this is to buy a fragrance-free lotion or cream (available at health food stores) and add 20 drops of essential oils per ounce of the product.

WHY?
The "bumps" of cellulite are composed of fat, cellular wastes and water. The oils used to counteract the condition improve circulation, strengthen connective tissues, encourage the elimination of wastes and fight fluid retention.
Experiment with the following oils: (Always use a carrier oil)

*Defeat your cellulite and fatty areas
-----------------------------------------------
Basil, birch, cedar wood, clary sage, coriander, cypress, fennel, geranium, ginger, grapefruit, juniper, lemon, orange, patchouli, pine, rosemary, and thyme.
Always keep in mind, the essential oils need to be mixed ALWAYS with a carrier oil*.
It is very dangerous to use essential oils on their own on your skin without mixing them with carrier oil. Please use caution

*What are Carrier Oils?
----------------------
*Carrier oils also referred to as base oils or vegetable oils are used to dilute essential oils, CO2s and absolutes before applying to the skin. They carry the essential oil onto the skin. Different carrier oils offer different properties and the choice of carrier oil can depend on the therapeutic benefit being sought.
Examples of carrier oils are sweet almond, apricot kernel, grape seed, avocado, peanut, olive, pecan, macadamia nut, sesame, evening primrose, walnut and wheat germ.

*Special Cellulite Massaging Oil :
--------------------------------------------
5 drops fennel oil
4 drops rosemary oil
2 drops juniper oil
4 drops lavender oil
Add these oils in 20 ml of carrier oil.

*Massage into affected area daily.
*Moisturizer Cellulite Rub

2 drops bay oil
2 drops lemon oil
4 drops lavender oil
Add these oils in 20 ml of sesame oil.
Massage into affected area daily.

*Cellulite Cream :
--------------------------------------
Add Algae Powder to any of your favorite body lotion/cream. This combination will help reduce cellulite and water retention and it also aids in the reduction of toxins and stress. Adding 2 tablespoons of this powder to your bath will leave both your body and mind free of impurities.

**** Cystic Acne:****
================
It is quite common for individuals of any age and members of both sexes to suffer from cystic acne. Cystic acne is not only painful it can cause permanent scarring and even embarrassment for those who often have this type of acne. Choosing to use home remedies for cystic acne will not only be gentler on your delicate skin, they will effectively help to cure your acne fast.Acne, more commonly known as pimples can be seen in several forms. One of the root causes of acne is a build-up of dead skin cells in combination with dirt along with an over production of sebum. The pores will become blocked with the excess sebum, dirt, and dead skin cells- scientifically known as comedones- and will become inflamed. When your pores become blocked with comedones they can be either white or black.

Comedone :can be uninfected which leads to un-inflamed acne (such as blackheads or white heads) or they can become infected. When the comedones are infected or inflamed, it can lead to pustules, papules, and nodules, which are the most severe of the sort, and often called cystic acne.

Cystic acne :occurs when an infection goes deeper into the skin, usually showing up in the dermis layer. This will create a red bump that is often painful or itchy and varies in size. Although medically known as cystic acne, many refer to it as pimples, spots, or zits.

While it is unsure what environmental symptoms contribute to cystic acne, the main cause of cystic acne is hormonal changes. A hormone that everyone has called androgens is known for being a major part of cystic acne. When you are a teenager, your androgen hormones will begin to change. The influx and major changes of amounts of this hormone will contribute to cystic acne starting to appear.

While it is most commonly seen in teenagers, children as young as eight and adults as old as fifty can be seen with cystic acne. It is also common for cystic acne to appear on women while they are pregnant.

Your individual genetic code or DNA, will determine the amount of androgen hormones that you have and how much they will change. This in turn will also determine how severe, how long, and how often you will have cystic acne.

Although genetics and hormones are the main cause of cystic acne, there are a few factors that will irritate the skin and make the cystic acne worse, and even cause scarring Cystic acne is known for causing scars due to being in the deeper layers of the skin. Cystic acne damages the collagen that is found in this area and scarring will form. There are three main types of acne scarring.

Cystic acne scar types :
====================
*Atrophic Scars- Appear sunken into the skin, but are actually quite shallow. These types of scars can be treated easily.

*Ice Pick Scars- Narrow and deep scarring that takes long periods of time to treat.

*Box-car Shaped Scars- Larger and deeper than the other types of scarring and is therefore the hardest to treat.

A great analogy to use is the dentist. You go see your dentist for deep cleanings but still brush and floss twice a day at home to maintain. Without that maintenance you'd have cavities, potential root canals and dental surgery. Without skin care at home we can't expect the work we do to fix everything just like a dental cleaning wouldn't fix everything on someone who never brushes or flosses.

VA**NA 'YONI' Or ''V'' 'Steam Ritual ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I wanted to share this interesting article about centuries old ancient ritual which is still being practicing in many many countries for lots of female Gynecological issues.

What does the word "Yoni" mean and why is it used?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although the terms are interchangeable, we use the term "Yoni steam" rather than "va**nal steam" because the word Yoni describes the women's reproductive system in its entirety, rather than a singular part. Indeed, the steam treats the entire system, not just the va**na. Yoni is a Sanskrit word meaning "va**na", "womb" and "origin of life".

Who should do a Yoni steam?
------------------------------------------
Yoni steaming is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with your body and reignite your vibrance. We encourage most women to try a Yoni steam (aka. va**nal steam)! You are likely to see great benefit to this ancient remedy if you suffer from irregular or painful periods, infertility, uterine fibroids, perennial tears, bladder and yeast infections, va**nal or ovarian cysts, hemorrhoids or scarring from C-sections, hysterectomies and laparoscopies. Yoni steaming is also recommended even if you are not experiencing any of the above, as it is a great way to soothe and pamper yourself, and is known to relieve anxiety in women.

Who should NOT do a Yoni steam?
---------------------------------------------------------
First and most importantly, women who are pregnant, or think there is any possibility that they might be, should NOT do any type of yoni steam. Doing so may endanger the pregnancy, as many of the herbs used can alter hormone levels and can cause contractions of the uterus. For the same reason, it is also not recommended for women who have an Intrauterine Device (IUD). Women who have any type of internal infection (cervical, uterine or ovarian inflammation), or a fever, are encouraged not to steam until the symptoms have passed. Women also should not steam while menstruating or when open sores or blisters are present.

Why should a Yoni steam not be done during menstruation?
--------------------------------------------
During menstruation, the uterus is in its natural process of shedding and releasing. Because this is already an intense, downward moving energy, the added stimulation of a Yoni steam may cause heavy bleeding and excessmaterial to flow out. For this reason, it is best to Yoni steam on the weeks in which the uterus is in its more restful state.

Why should a yoni steam not be done during pregnancy?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yoni steams encourage the uterine lining to shed any excess build up each month. This is important to note because, in the case of pregnancy, the uterine lining is built up in order to create a nourishing haven for a fertilized egg and growing fetus. Therefore, anything that causes the uterus to contract and cleanse itself, such as a yoni steam, should be avoided so that the lining stays intact.

What herbs are typically used to steam and why?
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1(Mugwort) In addition to fighting infection through its antibiotic and anti-fungal properties, mugwort balances female hormones and stimulates the production of hormones that help to maintain uterine health as well as protect the uterus from things such as ulcers and tumors. Mugwort steam opens the pores, allowing the beneficial herbs to pe*****te into the blood stream. In addition, mugwort helps to stimulate menstrual discharge and ease cramping.
2(Rosemary) An aromatic and antimicrobial herb, rosemary treats bacterial infection, speeds wound healing, inhibits yeast growth, and stimulates menstruation.
C(Lavender) One of the most relaxing herbs we have, lavender supports healing, and it also promotes menstrual flow.
3(Yarrow) Astringent, tonifying and cleansing, yarrow is great for regulating menstrual flow, treating ovarian cysts and supporting overall uterine health.
4(Partridge berry) Revered as a wonderful herb for the female reproductive system, partridge berry treats infertility, regulates menstrual cycles and helps decrease severe menstrual pain.
5(Motherwort)Astringent, tonifying and cleansing, motherwort strengthens and relaxes uterine muscles, eases uterine cramping, and may help treat uterine fibroids. Motherwort stimulates uterine tone and blood flow.
Calendula: Aids in healing of scar tissue, va**nal tears, or hemorrhoids.
6(Rose Petals) A relaxing, uplifting and astringent herb that is wonderful for pampering.

1-What should I expect after doing the steam?
-----------------------------------------------
Devi Steam Yoni Steaming Herbs.png
Your the menstrual cycle can and does change after doing a yoni steam. Often, there is a great deal of material that is "encrusted" to the inside of your womb, which is expelled after doing the yoni steam. The herbs have a powerful effect on the uterus, dislodging much of what is stuck. Sometimes this means your flow will be very heavy, dark and thick for just a day or two, and other times it just extends the length of your period to get it all out. Ultimately, your next periods will be much lighter and more pleasant than ever before.Other than feeling relaxed and pampered, you should not expect to see results immediately after the steam (there will be no visible discharge at the time).

2-Does yoni steaming really work?
----------------------------------------------------------------
There will always be those who doubt remedies that are not proven by modern science. However, yoni steaming is a remedy that has stood the test of time. For generations, women have shared their success stories among one another, and are only now beginning to share them with the world. Still unsure? Read these testimonials from women who have used the Vibrant Souls Yoni Steam blend.

3-My doctor told me not to try va**nal steaming. Why would this be?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some Western medical doctors may be resistant to the idea of va**nal steaming. This is not because the treatment is dangerous or ineffective. It is simply because this is an ancient remedy that is not taught in medical schools, and there are no scientific studies to "prove" it's effectiveness, and Western doctors often feel quite uncomfortable about it as a result. However, the women who utilize this treatment understand that millennia of women's wisdom and testimonials are just as valid, if not more valuable, than a scientific study in a lab. We recommend that you ask your doctor his or her reasons for the resistance to the treatment to better understand if the recommendation to not steam is specifically related to your unique body, or is a general statement about the practice itself. Most importantly, listen to your own intuition as your guide.

4-How often should I do a yoni steam?
-----------------------------------------------------------------
As part of an overall self-care regime, we recommend that women steam two to three times per month, always during weeks in which you are not menstruating. Women who suffer from pain, bloating or exhaustion during menstruation should steam two to three times within the week before menstruation. Women who are experiencing fertility challenges should steam once per week, and maybe twice during pre-ovulation, to make sure that the tissue is moist and that the cervical fluids are clear and copious. They should expect to steam for three months before seeing results. For the postpartum, a yoni steam may be done three times per week for four weeks to facilitate healing and toning of the uterus and va**na (please be sure there are no open wounds and that you are no longer bleeding). Women who are experiencing or who have passed menopause should steam at least three times per year for maintenance, but may steam more often if it feels right. If your challenges are chronic, you may want to steam up to three times per week to ensure the greatest results.

5-When is the best time of the month to steam?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can steam at any time of the month, as long as you are not menstruating. It is typically recommended that for treating menstrual pain, you do you at least two va**nal steams in the week leading up to your period. After doing so, you will likely see a change in the fluid you pass when your period begins. You may also steam once after your cycle ends, to clear out any excess materials.

6-How long after birth should I wait to steam?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
We recommend waiting until you are no longer bleeding before doing a yoni steam. Spotting, with dark colored blood, is okay. Obviously, in cases of extreme bleeding or hemorrhaging, a yoni steam would be contraindicated. There is not a point at which it is too late, as you will receive the benefits any time you decide to steam. Women who choose to do their first steam 4 or more months after giving birth often report getting their first cycle, even while still breastfeeding.
