When I started Bog Witch Beauty a year ago, I received about 2-8 orders a month, and most of those were from very kindhearted friends. 🙂
In the past month alone, I have filled 2-6 orders a day, shipped to 28 states, and have been immensely grateful that so many people have included my handmade items in their daily lives.
But a lot of you know that my “free” time is extremely limited…
I have found myself stressing to fill orders in between homeschool lessons and at the same time as making dinner and at night when I should have been in bed and instead of doing…literally anything else.
Last night I sat down and made a new craft, just for me, and it felt wonderful.
So I am taking a sales break, so I can have some time back to make and do things just for me and my family.
I will still continue to stock at Grounded Earth in Huntington, and that will be the only way to get my products for a little while. 🙂
Thank you, everyone, for being such dear sources of support and love for me!

“Excuse me,” the little voice said behind me. Turning, I saw her hold a small fist out and say, “I wanted to give these to you.”
It is so good to be known as someone who will appreciate a nice, little rock or two.
Thank you to the little girl at my boglings’ karate class tonight, for these beautiful tiger’s eyes!

Last summer I gathered and gathered and gathered fallen cicada wings, and after seeing how much you all loved the earrings I made from them, I wish I had gathered more!
I am down to my very last pair today…just two little wings, a silent memory of their raucous, little lives.
Grab them before they fly away.

(And if you’re noticing more birds than usual this spring, thank the Brood XIV cicadas!)

“While the Veil is Thin”
Maeve, Maeve, come here tonight
on the evening of Beltane.
Bless the ground, and bless the womb.
Bless the lovers jumping flames,
and bless the kitchen windowsills
graced by jam jars of fleabane.
Bless the hands that smell of earth,
though they type and tend and hurry.
Bless the ones who learn by scraps,
by an ancient glass so blurry,
who kindle fires of olden time
between their modern worries.
Bless the daughters out of place
who pine for something older,
who braid their longings into crowns
of buttercup and clover,
who read the signs of stars and rhymes
and feel their spirits smolder.
Come kneel beside her here tonight
where wild and weary meet,
in herbal tea, in electric light,
in rayon and bare feet.
She’d tell you of a long lost life
not forced atop concrete.
Maeve, Maeve, linger here tonight
on the evening of Beltane.
The moon is full above the lines
that rule our night and day,
that power up our charging cords
and take our power away.
Hold us now while the veil is thin,
and enlighten our present-day.

I’ve been working on this one a while! 🙂
Viney’s Garden is a skin-brightening serum steeped in Appalachian garden magic. Each bottle carries flowers I personally gathered and dried with care.
A few drops on your skin and you will feel like a little garden-fairy in morning mist—soft, glowing, and a little bit enchanted.
Ingredients:
-Jojoba oil infused with Dandelion, Yarrow, Goldenrod, Rose, Apple Blossom, and Redbud
-Geranium Essential Oil
2oz bottle-$11
+small fee if shipped
Full Ingredient Description:
Jojoba is the base here, and it’s about as close as you can get to your skin’s own natural oil. It mirrors your skin’s sebum, so it sinks in easily, helps balance oil production, and supports a strong, hydrated skin barrier without clogging pores. It’s rich in vitamin E and antioxidants, helping soften and protect while encouraging a healthy, natural glow.
Then come the flowers!
Dandelion is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, and brings antioxidant support that helps brighten dull skin, calm irritation, and support a more even-looking tone over time.
Yarrow is an old healer plant—naturally anti-inflammatory and gently astringent. It helps calm redness, refine the look of pores, and support the skin’s natural repair process when things feel irritated or uneven.
Goldenrod is rich in flavonoids that help soothe inflammation, tone the skin, and support circulation, bringing that soft, warm, rested glow back to the face.
Redbud and apple blossom are gentle springtime blossoms used for their soothing, softening, and lightly hydrating properties. They help bring a fresh, dewy feel, like stepping outside into early spring air.
Rose deeply soothes, is gently astringent, and hydrating. It helps calm visible redness, supports moisture retention, and leaves the skin feeling soft, comforted, and cared for.
And finally, geranium essential oil is naturally balancing, helping regulate oil production, supporting skin tone, and offering gentle antimicrobial properties.
All together, it’s a slow infusion meant to brighten and even the look of skin, calm irritation and visible redness, support softness, balance, and hydration, and bring back a natural glow.
Best used when the light is soft…morning and just before bed, when everything feels still. 🙂
