We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19

Greetings!

I am planning to re-open Lotus Skin Care Studio June 2. So I wanted to take a minute to tell you what I’m planning.

I’ve spent these last few weeks figuring out the best process for cleaning, sanitizing, and booking under the guidance of Kansas City and the CDC.

How I’m handling booking:
I am limiting the number of daily appointments. Because social distancing applies and my space is limited, I’ve carefully scheduled my days to space out my clients and make time for thorough cleaning and sanitizing. Please be on time for your appointment so that I can stay on schedule. I may be contacting you to adjust your treatment time slightly to allow for extra cleaning time between each appointment.

Here’s what I’m asking each client to do:
Remove your shoes or put on shoe covers upon entering.

Bring in as little as possible. If you do bring personal items with you, I will ask that you to put them in a disinfected plastic tub during your treatment.

No one is allowed to come with you to your appointment, this includes children.

There will be no waiting area. Please wait in your car until you see that the door sign says “Open, please come in”. This is an indication that the previous person has left and that I have disinfected the treatment room and that I am ready for you to enter.

Please sanitize your hands as soon as you enter Lotus.

Everyone must wear a mask upon entering, during your service (if possible) and while checking out and rescheduling.

PLEASE ARRIVE WITH YOUR OWN MASK.

Here are the changes I’ve made at Lotus:
I will be wearing a mask at all times.

I have purchased a contactless thermometer and will be taking your temperature when entering.

I am now accepting Venmo and also have a new credit card machine for contactless transactions.

I now have HEPA air filtration system that cleans the air 4 times per hour and kills bacteria, viruses and allergens.

Covid-19 is transmitted through vapors so I am asking that we keep talking to a minimum during facial treatments.

Blankets are washed after each use and will be available on request. Please dress appropriately if you are a person who gets cold.

The treatment room and restroom as well as all surfaces will be cleaned between each client.

I will be asking you to sign a waiver before EACH service asking the following questions. If you answer yes to any of these questions, I will ask you to reschedule.
Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?
Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?
Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

New Cancellation Policy:
If you wake up feeling sick, PLEASE reschedule!

If you are experiencing a fever, cough, or sore throat, please reschedule your appointment for when you are no longer symptomatic. If you have been to a COVID-19 impacted area or have been in close contact with a person infected with COVID-19, I ask that you please reschedule your appointment for 14 days past the date of contact.

I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule because you are not feeling well, please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule. There will be no penalties for cancellations due to illness. If you are cancelling for other reasons, the 24hr cancellation policy is still in effect. If you cancel with less than 24hrs notice for a non-illness related reason, you will be charged 50% of your service fee.

No-show fees:
So many people are waiting to get in for overdue appointments right now, so it’s more important than ever that you come in when you’re scheduled. In the event that you can’t make it, let me know as soon as possible. If you fail to show up for your appointment, you will be charged 100% of your service fee.
