self employed life looks a lot like weekends on Wednesday, and I’m not upset about it. So grateful for this chapter in my life where I’m livin for a living.

Just spent the past week treating some of my favorite business partners to a little vacation in the middle of the map- we laughed, ate, danced, and game planned on how to help each other level up through the end of the year.

And y’all- I’ve never had friends that cared so deeply about watching me win. People who invest in me, teach me how to grow, and will sit for hours answering all my questions about business, investing, and homeownership.

I’m so proud of how much I’ve learned in the last 2.5 years, and even more excited that this is only the beginning. After closing out one vacay, I’m already planning my next one. The company that brought three gals together from all over the country is sending us back to VEGAS!

The colors aren’t right, my side rolls are showing, I’ve never liked the way my profile looks. But here I am, posting anyway.

Because if there’s anything I’ve learned over the past month going on my stories, it’s that life doesn’t need to match the aesthetic- and that goes for more than just IG.

So many of us look in the mirror and see things we want to change (mostly because society has told us we have to fit a certain image to be proud of what we see), but I’m flipping the switch on how I talk to myself, and thus changing the way I allow other people to talk about me.

The truth is, I’ve spent over 20 years of my life hating my body. And I’m still learning how to love her, but she has carried me through my worst days- so it’s time to start celebrating. What do you love most about your body?

Y’all, today is my first day back as a full-time entrepreneur, and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I learned a lot about what I do and (more importantly) don’t want for my future over the last year working non-profit, and it only makes today so much sweeter. I feel refreshed. Energized. Passionate. I feel like ME again.
