MISSOURI MEMORY DAY!!! šš§ Yesterday was a day of advocacy with the & speaking with reps about legislation and budgets to increase funding for research, prevention & caregiver assistance throughout the state.
Itās such a privilege for me to be able to work with these organizations to help families across the state of Missouri, while also honoring my grandmother and sharing her story. There is still much work to be done but there is progress being made and Iām excited to be a part of such an incredible organization.

I had a BALL last night at the Heart Ball raising $860,000 for the ā¤ļø
The American Heart Association funds groundbreaking research, advocates for stronger public health policies, and educates communities on how to prevent heart disease and stroke ā the leading causes of death worldwide. From CPR training and AED access to advancing treatment and prevention science, their impact reaches families in every zip code.
As someone who believes deeply in prevention and healthy living, itās powerful to stand in a room full of people committed to fighting for longer, stronger lives. Grateful to support a mission that truly saves hearts ā in every sense of the word. ā¤ļø

Caregivers are the quiet heroes in the Alzheimerās journey š¤
When supporting families impacted by Alzheimerās disease and dementia, the words we choose matter more than we realize.
Caregiving is physically exhausting, emotionally complex, and often invisible. Behind every person living with dementia is someone advocating at appointments, managing medications, navigating behaviors, and grieving in real time ā all while still loving fiercely.
Support isnāt just about sympathy. Itās about showing up specifically, speaking gently, and recognizing that caregivers need care too.
Letās shift our language from minimizing to validating. From vague offers to tangible help. From āI canāt imagineā to āYou donāt have to do this alone.ā š
Because when we support caregivers, we strengthen the entire circle of care.

Are you RED-y to go red? ā¤ļø
National Wear Red DayĀ® is Friday, February 6th! and are asking you to support the Ā® movement by wearing RED and participating in National Wear Red Day. ā¤ļø
Why? Losing even one woman to heart disease or stroke is too many.
Why Go Red?
⢠Awareness is critical. Everyone needs to know that cardiovascular disease is the No. 1 killer of women.
⢠Nearly 45% of women over age 20 are living with some form of cardiovascular disease.
⢠Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of new moms as the leading cause of maternal mortality.
⢠Women are less likely than men to receive bystander CPR and less likely to survive an out-of-hospital sudden cardiac arrest.
⢠Only 38% of cardiovascular clinical research trial participants were women as of 2020.
⢠āKnow Your Numbersā ā key personal health numbers that help determine risk for heart disease include total cholesterol, blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index.

For this weeks Thoughtful Thursday weāre talking about the ASAP Act. š§
The Alzheimerās Screening and Prevention (ASAP) Act would help accelerate access to early detection tools ā like FDA-approved blood tests ā by creating a pathway for Medicare coverage, so more people can get diagnosed sooner and begin planning care or treatments early.
As a Missouri congressional team member of the movement, my team and I spend time advocating and discussing bills like this one with Representatives and Congresspeopleābut you can help too!
š Take action: Learn more and tell your members of Congress to support the ASAP Act by visiting the link below. Your voice matters in advancing earlier detection and better outcomes for families affected by Alzheimerās.
