MGA DOKUMENTO NG SEAMAN

Narito ang mga pangunahing dokumento na karaniwang kinakailangan bago sumampa ng barko (lalo na para sa mga seafarers/OFWs sa maritime industry):

✅ 1. Personal Documents

• Valid Passport – hindi expired (dapat may at least 12 months validity).
• Seaman’s Book (SRB) – Seafarer’s Record Book, issued by MARINA.
• Seafarers Identity Document (SID) – Seafarers identification.

✅ 2. Training Certificates (STCW)

Karaniwang mga kinakailangang training na aprubado ng STCW (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping):
• Basic Training (BT) – Required for all seafarers.
• Ship Security Awareness Training/ Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (SSAT/SDSD) - Para sa lahat ng crew
• Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (SCRB) – Para sa deck or engine officers/ratings.
• Advanced Firefighting (AFF) at Medical First Aid (MEFA) - sa mga opisyal
• Medical Care (MECA) - sa Medical Officer
• Crowd & Crisis Management – Para sa mga sumasampa sa passenger ships.

Depende ito sa iyong rank (rating, officer) at klase ng barko (cargo, tanker, passenger, etc).

✅ 3. Medical Certificates

• PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination) – Accredited by DOH or POEA.
• Yellow Card (International Certificate of Vaccination) – lalo na kung pupunta sa mga bansang may vaccine requirement (e.g. Yellow Fever, Polio, Covid, MMR).

✅ 4. Licenses / Competency Documents

• Certificate of Competency (COC) – Para sa officers.
• Certificate of Proficiency (COP) – Para sa ratings or additional STCW modules.
• GMDSS Certificate – Para sa mga radio operators/officers.

✅ 5. Company-Issued / Employment Documents

• Employment Contract – Approved by POEA.
• Letter of Guarantee – From manning agency.
• Visa – Kung required sa bansang dadaungan.
• Plane Ticket / Joining Instructions – Travel orders and details.

✅ 6. Government Clearance

• OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) – Para makaalis legally.
• Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, SSS, and OWWA Membership – Updated contributions.
• E-Registration sa POEA – Online registration for documentation.
