Maya's Magia Verde

Hey, everybody! I know it's been a while since I've posted; it's been a hectic year for me personally. Now that it is getting cooler again, this would normally be the time I start signing up for fall festivals. But after a lot of thought I've decided that I am going to give myself a break for this season and reevaluate next spring. If there is something you need, let me know. I will still have products for sale, I just won't be spending time at festivals.

This is raw mica. It's a shiny mineral that gets powdered and is used as an additive in soaps to add shimmer. Natural mica does not come in hot pink, turquoise, or yellow. If we avoid artificial colors in our food, why would we want them in our skincare products? There are no artificial colorants added to any of my skincare products, ever.

Harvesting another herb to add to my arsenal: California Poppy (Eschscholzia californica), like all members of the poppy family contains natural sedatives. I'll be trialing it as a dried herb for teas or to add as an ingredient in sleep salve.

First batch of my new Whipped Coffee Scrub is done and ready for sale! Formulated with organic, fair-trade coffee and organic cane sugar, this scrub will leave your skin feeling smooth and hydrated! Coffee is known for its ability to increase circulation and reduce the appearance of cellulite, as well as fight signs of aging. SPRING! Okay, I know it isn't really time yet, but it sure feels like it and apparently the bugs think so too. It seems like they've ALL hatched in the last few days. When the mosquitos and ticks attack, you can find relief with plantain salve! This common plant has an uncommon ability to draw toxins from your skin. It can also be effectively used on stings and spider bites.

Many of you already know that calendula salve is great for soothing many everyday skin problems. The calendula salve, which I have been making for a long time now, is great for localized issues, but if your skin irritation needs a bigger solution, my new calendula and oatmeal soap and bath bombs might be just what you need!

It is always great to see you guys at festivals, but you don't have to wait for the next festival to resupply, you can now shop in person at any time! My business space is now set up and ready for visitors!

Just created a whipped coffee scrub. Coffee scrubs can help fight signs of aging, reduce the look of cellulite, improve circulation, and so many other wonderful things! It is currently being evaluated by some people and if I get good feedback, I will be making more!
