🌱In case you didn’t know…

Young Living owns 30,000 acres of farmland, and sources its essential oils from our 25 corporate-owned farms, plus partner farms, and Seed to Seal suppliers.

Other companies only use suppliers.

This empowers us to source conscientiously and with sensitivity to local communities and ecosystems. Sustainability and being good stewards to mother earth is our priority.

Young Living's Seed to Seal suppliers go through stringent quality testing, Seed to Seal training and signed declarations, compliance training and certification. They are audited often with site visits and many of these relationships have been in place for decades.

If a supplier sends Young Living a batch of oil, and it doesn't pass Seed to Seal standards for any reason, it is sent back. They will wait for the correct standards to be met - the money they may lose by rejecting it is not a driving factor, nor is the potential to be out of stock on that oil. Quality matters.
It is possible another company may purchase an unsuitable, rejected batch.

The Sourcing Standard applies to all stages of the Young Living essential oil supply chain, including farms, wildcrafting operations, and our distilleries.

Product testing doesn’t take place exclusively within the two in-house labs, staffed with more than 50 highly trained, highly skilled scientists.

Young Living also utilizes third-party labs as needed, working with more than a dozen of the world’s leading, independent, and accredited labs with highly skilled and trained scientists who specialize in advanced product testing.

Every essential oil at Young Living is tested for heavy metals like lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury. YL tests for a full range of microbial contaminants, including pathogens like e. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, salmonella, and other possible organism contaminants (such as yeasts or molds), and agrochemicals. Products categorized as dietary supplements or foods are tested for lead, arsenic, cadmium, and mercury

Yes, you can find GC/MS tests on the website.

Young Living does up to 20 different tests, in triplicate. In order to fully assess oil quality, test results for essential oils should include, at minimum, specific gravity, optical rotation, FTIR, color, aroma, individual components, and relative component amounts determined by GC, etc.

Additionally, specialized test results such as chiral chromatography and isotope-ratio mass spectrometry (IRMS) should be included for select essential oils.

Young Living is the only company that tests in this way, with this number of tests, and has their own farms, distilleries, laboratories, and specifications for their Seed to Seal quality standards that all farms, partner farms, and S2S suppliers must adhere to.

Hello, Christmas Trees! 🎄 This oil is INCREDIBLE for the respiratory system too! 😍 Your joints and muscles will also love being rubbed with some Pine. 💪🏻 If you struggle with being a little stressed and tense, this is the grounding oil you need. It revitalizes the mind, body, and spirit. 💗

We have been using a LOT of Pine, and really all and any tree essential oils around here. If you hop on the good old DuckDuckGo and plug in some key words, you’ll find some really interesting research on pine needle tea and essential oils, and the compounds they contain. 😉

🧡 250PV - 5ML COPAIBA

Tooth or gum feeling sore? This is your BFF. This oil (also a Vitality oil) is great for inflammation and supports intestinal and gut health! (Suffer from tummy troubles? You need this!) It helps the body as it flushes toxins!!! And excess fluids!!

This oil is an unsung hero for sure. It is a MUST have for so many reasons!! I always have this in my gym bag, as well as the select 30 that I take with me WHENEVER I travel!! 😍 One of my favorites because I use it whenever I need something amplified (similar to Peppermint, I add it last to help amplify whatever I put on before it). The thing about Copaiba that sets it apart for me is that it's a very mild oil. When my kids are teething, this is the go-to oil for us. I rub this neat (without carrier oil) right on sore gums, or even a split lip or sore.
