How do you unwind from your day?? I like to put on a sweat suit and pour a glass of wine. Depending on the day the glass could be larger or smaller. But before I get cozy and uncork a bottle I need to wash my face. On days I work from home it's been my reminder of when I start and end my work so I can retain that work/life balance.

How do you fight or embrace old man winters grip on your skin?? As we see well below freezing temperatures in the midwest I’m reaching for a super versatile fix, Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm. *My niece joined me for a little face oil at the end of my facial. :)
We all brace for old man winter’s hold on our lives. In folklores and mythology you read about deities who go into battle against the opposing gods who represent summer and harvest or even a mystical deity who is the son of a frost giant who rules over short days and created the magical northern lights. Whether you love or hate winter it is unavoidable. It hits us in the face as we turn the corner from fall and is unforgiving about its presence. I try to embrace it because I know how essential it is to have a dormant season but inevitably I become resistant. But regardless of my adoration or resentment of the season my skin needs a little more attention.
Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm can do more for me than my ex-boyfriend. I use it as a moisturizing overnight mask, cuticle treatment, makeup remover, mini at home facial, and it could probably unclog the sink without flooding the kitchen (*disclaimer - Do not use the cleansing balm on the sink!!!). It can also be used on diaper rash, sun burns and myriad of other skin challenges.

Whether you love it or hate it, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. This year I’m choosing to enjoy the dreaded Valentine’s Day! Regardless of my inability to snag a date for the social media love fest, I have a whole day of pink and red planned. Jellies Duo in Sorbet and Peppermint for my niece who loves to wear lip (and I love to give these to her because it's clean) and Color Intense Lipstick in Girls Night for me. Dressing up for an exciting night in and showing off some fun lip color is exactly what I need!

I’m in a mask breathing on my own face for many hours each day and I notice that my skin gets angry. There is no one size fits all solution but here are a few things I do to help me reduce the mask fatigue.
1. Remember to drink water - Just because your mouth is covered doesn’t mean that you can forgo consuming the essence of life. Proper water consumption will help you stay physically and mentally healthy and this includes your skin!
2. Reset your face - half way through the day my face begins to feel grimy and I need a restart. After lunch I do a quick makeup remover wipe and reapply my Flawless in Five (pictured - tons of options to cater to your taste).
3. Treat yourself daily- What do you need that day? Treat that! Daily use of Counter+ All Bright C Serum will give you longer lasting deep moisture. Do you have a small breakout? Dab some Countercontrol SOS Spot Treatment on. *I’ve been using this a lot lately.
4. Treat yourself weekly - Remember to take care of your long game. Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel is magic and I like it on Sunday night. Counter+ Charcoal Facial Mask helps me clarify at the end of the work week. If I’m looking for some added moisture I may occasionally use Counter+ Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm as a leave on overnight mask.

Yes, yes, yes, I know. Someone else trying to sell something on facebook. It's real original. But rather than thinking of this as me selling you something, think of this as me introducing you to a movement of clean beauty.
What is clean beauty, you might ask.. Clean beauty is formulating the everyday products we use on our skin without known-toxic and potentially harmful ingredients (which companies have the liberty to use in the US). Beautycounter has prohibited 1,800 of such ingredients that are part of The Never List. These ingredients are not used in any of our formulations due to the known risk or potential risk. We aren't a bunch of silly women playing with makeup!
Now onto a personal testimonial. My skin has always been fussy. I have hormonal breakouts and most skincare products make my skin dry, irritated and itchy. I was constantly on the search for a solution to feel comfortable in my own skin. And yes, the fairy tail continues when I was introduced to Beautycounter. A friend told me about the products and mentioned that it may help. I gave it a shot and I've been using Beautycounter ever since and love it just as much six years later!
I'm not trying to sell you a miracle pill or drink for a rounder butt or thigh gap or a topical to make your eyelashes grow thicker and longer. Those things aren't natural.
