A teeth whitening comparison ✨
The difference between what I use on my clients and what most dental offices use is that mine does not contain any harsh chemicals. This is perfect for my sensitive people 🫶🏼
My gel contains the highest dental grade ingredients and it induces remineralization of deeper layers of demineralized enamel, reduced tooth decay, without causing blanching or discomfort.
Keep in mind that whitening strips work the surface, the gel opens up the pores to whiten 3 layers deep.

Coconut oil pulling, heard of her?
No specific studies that confirm the teeth whitening effect of oil pulling.
However, a 2015 study found that it does reduce gingivitis caused by plaque. This can have a whitening effect on your teeth, as it is plaque build up that stains faster making the teeth look even more yellow.
Oral care is self care 🫶🏼✨

Happy Humpday!
As there are many DIY hacks for different things.. something like whitening your teeth can actually cause some damage if done wrong. Always go to a professional, specially before your special events. ✨
Fiction- Methods claim using scrubs like activated charcoal or baking soda- hydrogen peroxide will bring back shine to your teeth.
Fact- Using these materials on your teeth are too abrasive, putting them at risk to look even more yellow. These scrub away your enamel, which is what you are looking to whiten. The enamel protects the next layer of your teeth, the dentin. You want to protect your enamel at all costs.
*ADA recommends toothbrushes with soft bristles AKA charcoal toothbrushes are out of the question 🙅🏻♀️

Finding the root of the problem
What causes teeth to yellow?
Many factors that can cause teeth to turn yellow include:
*Certain foods or drinks, such as blueberries, red wine, coffee, tea
*A diet in high sugar and simple carbs
*Smoking or chewing to***co
*Side effects of certain medications/mouthwashes
*Age, as older adults are more likely to have yellow teeth
*Genetics
*Mouth trauma
*Excessive fluoride consumption
*Poor dental care and oral hygiene
*Chronic dry mouth or lack of saliva
Bottom line
Be cautious of what you use to whiten your teeth. You can damage your gums/ enamel. This can cause sensitivity and cavities. Do your research!
Best way to whiten is to prevent the stains before they happen. Practice good oral hygiene and have regular dental check ups. 🦷

Transformation Thursday 🤗
We all want our teeth really white. In some cases a one hour session can get you there, in some an additional session is needed. This all depends on the type of stains on your teeth, how porous your teeth are, and your enamel.
Everyone’s teeth are different, remember that this is a process 🦷✨

Protecting your smile is a daily challenge,
How do you know if you’re doing it right? Are you too aggressive when brushing? Are your teeth sensitive? 😬
To save your pearly whites, it’s important to understand the causes and signs of tooth abrasion can include
🟥: Using too much pressure when you brush your teeth
🟥: Using a hard-bristled toothbrush or an abrasive toothpaste
🟥: Biting on your fingernails
Over time, you may see notches on your teeth near the gum line; because the enamel has worn down and made the inner layers of the tooth more visible, these areas might look darker than normal. Also, abrasion can make teeth more sensitive so that eating hot, cold, sweet or sour foods becomes more painful.
🦷 Enamel can’t repair itself once it’s damaged, so the best way to save your tooth is to make sure abrasion doesn’t happen in the first place; Be gentle while brushing, use a soft-bristled toothbrush, and break any bad habits like nail biting.
Lastly, don’t forget to see your dentist for regular checkups.
