Throwback Thursday... going waaay back to 1983. “Pop” was such an amazing horse. Calf horse, heel horse, pony horse at the track,barrel horse etc. This was a WPRA sanctioned rodeo. I was 7 years old. Exhibition run. I was told our run would have won the performance. Go Pop! .

Ginger... Peptoboonsmal granddaughter out of an own daughter of Smart Little Lena. First day I’ve taken her on poles... apparently she’s been around them before. She is so fun to ride. Trying to get her more calm and confident.

Know when to quit... big reward at the end for being good. Giving her a break/reward right after the third shows her she gets rewarded for going through smooth and calm. This mare has been fried on the barrels and just getting her to lope slow through without throwing head up and trying to blast off in the patten is a big success.
