Black Sesame Latte🖤🖤🖤
Black Sesame is well known for its high nutritional value in calcium and antioxidant rich properties. In Chinese medicine, it is a revered food herb known for its anti-aging properties ( combating oxidative stress & free radical damage) & supporting kidney jing, yin, and blood. It is known to reverse greying hair, hydrates & lubricates both skin and intestines, and replenishes the essence and blood for those experiencing exhaustion on a deep level.
It’s quite easy to incorporate into foods and drinks and taste yummy too. I love adding it to my morning breakfast porridge or as a warm latte to enjoy during the day.
This morning I had to with fresh homemade pumpkin seed milk!!
Make a paste:
1) Simply grind up black sesame and add to a small mason jar
2) Option to mix in honey or additional oils to the mix.
Black Sesame Latte:
1) Add choice of milk to a saucer along with 1-2 tbs of black sesame paste, a little sweetener of choice.
2) Bring to a boil, and blend for that frothy latte feel.
3) Voila! That’s it. Enjoy! 🖤

Marshmallow | Gelatin Bites for Skin, Gut, and Joint Health💜💜💜
I’m always trying to find creative ways to incorporate food as medicine. Here’s a new yummy treat I made- it’s also good for you☺️
Gelatin benefits:
Gelatin is a protein derived from collagen found in animal bones and connective tissue. Gelatin contains protein and amino acids that are beneficial for gut and skin health ( hydrating the skin and tissues). The proteins in gelatin can help heal and protect the intestinal lining supporting better digestion. It helps strengthen bones and joints by reducing inflammation and providing building blocks for cartilage.
Marshmallow Root:
Has a mucilaginous and gel like property that helps to protect the lining of the intestines aiding in digestive issues like heartburn, ulcers, and gastritis. It can help soothe the respiratory membranes especially for dry coughs. It’s ultra hydrating and tonifies the yin. A superb herb, one of my absolute favorites!!
How to Make Homemade Marshmallows:
Ingredients:
1 cup of marshmallow root tea
1/4 cup of gelatin
1 tsp vanilla or almond extract
1/4-1/2 cup of maple syrup
Pinch of Salt
Coconut oil or oil of choice to line a pan
* You can add matcha, rose, ube, or any other flavoring of your choice!
How to Make:
💜Boil 1 cup of hot water and pour over 2 tablespoons of dried marshmallow root. Let it sit for 3-4 hours and strain the liquid.
💜Set aside a glass dish greased with coconut oil
💜Add gelatin to 1/2 cup of tea and set to “bloom”
💜Add the other 1/2 of tea to the stovetop and other ingredients and heat up.
💜Slowly start to add the hot ingredients to the “bloom” and begin blending with an electric mixer until it begins to fluff and become smooth.
💜Add the marshmallow fluff to the dish.
💜Refrigerate until firm and then cut the pieces and enjoy!!
💜Marshmallows can be stored in an airtight container.
Note: should be more of a marshmallow consistency. Mine somehow came out two toned which is also fine and yummy☺️

Your nervous system shapes how you experience the world, it deserves daily care- not just during moments of burn out. I learned many years ago in Restorative Yoga training that relaxation is a skill. Something we learn, and needs to be tended to.
Small practices, intentional pauses throughout the day, deep breaths, and repeated consistently, can create profound shifts towards a more calm and resilient nervous system.🕊️
Happy Tuesday, Friends✨🫶🏼✨

I’m off to Paris!🫠 And these are all the essentials going in my travel bag, along with the other items I mentioned in a previous post that I can’t leave home without✌🏼
Here they are:
✔️Sunscreen + Hat-A non-negotiable. Period.
✔️Massage Balls- I take them whenever I travel or on long drives. Complete life saver.
✔️Journal: I like to write when I’m at airports to jot down inspiration.
✔️Water Bottle: Having it with me reminds me to stay hydrated wherever I go!
✔️Scarf: A great accessory for any occasion-shade from the sun or to add a little style to any outfit on the go!
Who knew acupuncture could treat…well all things pelvic floor🫠
I recently attended a Perinatal Acupuncture Conference in SD this past wknd, and I learned so much especially from acupuncturist focusing on pelvic floor health!!🙌🏽
I work with a lot of prenatal and postpartum mama’s, and I see the same issues coming up: ranging from a variety of pelvic floor disorders pre/postpartum to lower back/sciatic/adductor pain during pregnancy. I have always had a passion for working with mamas postpartum because there’s never enough care during this very sacred and vulnerable time period.
It was exciting to be amongst colleagues and professionals dedicated to this work, and I’m excited for this next chapter applying what I’ve learned and to be able to help more people!
