I used to pray for this life… and now I’m living it.
Not because it was easy.
Not because everything lined up perfectly.
But because I made a promise… and I refused to break it.
I told my dad I was going to finish nursing school.
I told him I was going to become an RN.
And even on the days I wanted to quit… I remembered WHY I started.
Now I’m here.
A nurse.
A mother.
A woman still healing, still growing… but still standing.
My babies are watching me build a life I once dreamed about.
And my dad… I know you’re watching me too. 💔✨

I wrote this song for my dad… because I didn’t realize how deeply I was still grieving him.
Grief is a funny thing.
Some days you can smile, laugh, and feel okay…
and other days, everything feels heavy.
When school ended… everything I hadn’t dealt with came rushing in.
I found myself asking:
Why am I so unhappy?
Why does this feel so heavy?
And the truth was… I never fully processed losing him.

So I picked up a pen.
And I started writing.
And somehow… through that pain, something beautiful came out of it.
Writing became therapeutic and helped me face my grief.

This is purpose. This is legacy.
And I’m just getting started.

I am so beyond proud of the woman you are becoming. Maintaining a 3.67 GPA and making the Principal’s Honor Roll while being a literal beast on the court? God has a way of honoring the honest. You didn’t have to cheat, you didn’t have to play dirty, and you didn’t have to switch up or HATE on anyone. You earned this EYBL spot fair and square because you are EXACTLY who I’ve always told you , you were ….. HER ✨🤩😤
