Apologies for not posting very much lately 🥹 over the last 6 months I’ve been busy with my tattoo apprenticeship. YES I am still doing microblading and powder brows 🥰 and taking appointments out of the lovely studio .body.art.studio on 2nd street where I am tattooing. Microblading retouch for one of my beautiful clients. It was great to see her again after almost 3 years, as her original microblading held up so well. We fluffed up the fronts and added more strokes throughout. She will be good to go for at least 1-2 more years, if not more 🥰

🌼 First session microblading 🌼

We’ve done brow tinting before, but this time she was ready for microblading. What a difference!

Another beautiful ℬ𝓇ℴ𝓌 𝒥ℴ𝓊𝓇𝓃ℯ𝓎…

Since my client has mature, thick skin, that used to be oily when she was younger, even though she wanted microblading, we decided to er on the side of caution and start with a combo brow with strokes in the front and powder machine shading on the rest of the brow. This is because microbladed strokes tend to blur out and fade (or not show up at all) on some people’s oily prone skin. After she came back for her retouch, we were happy to see that the strokes in the front healed crisp and beautiful. So I added more strokes throughout the brow at the retouch since the first session was a success. In a few years we will likely convert to a full powder brow, but for now she can enjoy the microbladed strokes that she originally wanted. ☺️

Second photo- immediately after first session. Microbladed strokes at the head of the brow, and powder brow using machine for the rest of the brow

Third photo- healed brows 8 weeks later. Note that the color has cooled down significantly from photo #2

Fourth photo- retouch appointment. We darkened the color a bit, and added microbladed strokes throughout the brow

Brows will be healed in 6 weeks and will last several years, gradually fading in color. She will have the option to get a color refresh to warm up the color, as they tend to cool down over time.

❋ ℱ𝒾𝓇𝓈𝓉 𝓈ℯ𝓈𝓈𝒾ℴ𝓃 ❋

First photo is immediately after first session “combo brow” (powder brow/machine shading with microbladed strokes in the front). Over the next 6 weeks, the brows will lighten a bit as the pigment heals into the skin, and the front strokes will blur slightly. Client desires a bold brow, so at the retouch appointment we will assess, darken, or add more strokes as needed. It’s usually better to go a bit more modest in the beginning, because we can always add at the retouch, but we can’t take away. So far love the new shape and transformation!
