Why Your Mascara Keeps Smudging (And How to Fix It)

Common reasons:

1. Your lashes touch your skin
If you have:

* Hooded eyes
* Deep-set eyes
* Long lashes

Your lashes may physically touch your eyelid or under-eye area throughout the day, transferring mascara.

2. Oily eyelids- Natural oils can break down mascara and cause it to transfer.

3. You’re applying mascara to your bottom lashes- Bottom lashes are notorious for smudging because they sit close to the skin.

4. You’re using too much eye cream- Eye cream that migrates onto lashes and lids can break down mascara.

I’ve been wearing Grassland Opera from and it smells so fresh, green, airy, and luxe without trying too hard. It has this soft clean warmth to it that just smells really pretty on the skin.

And the story behind it is actually so cool, it was inspired by an extinct prairie flower that they helped bring back to life through science and perfumery.
