It’s ! This year for everyone has been a roller coaster to say the least, but one with some extreme lows for a lot of people and minor highs. It’s safe to say that 2020 hasn’t been a year any of us have expected or were prepared for. At least that’s what it’s been like for me...

Personally this year has been a year of GROWTH. What had this year been for you? The growth I’ve experienced this year has been something I truly value. While there’s a lot of negative things to focus on with all that’s going on, I’ve chosen to focus on the positivity. The silver lining if you will.
•
This year I opened branched out of my comfort zone on so many levels. I opened my small business, salon studio, with my amazing partner/friend . While that small business had a lot of closures due to everything going on, instead of focusing on that being halted, I was able to refocus on other projects. In may I started my small online business franchise with and while it’s been one of the more uncomfortable experience it’s also been a huge area of growth for me, and I absolutely love the health and wellness it’s brought to my life and that I can help bring to others lives! In August I got my Holy Fire Reiki I & II certification and while I didn’t know what I was gonna do with that (honestly got it out of curiosity) it shined light on a spiritual path for me and also sparked my newest small business Simply Blue and my reiki practice. I truly appreciate all those who have supported me on all of these endeavors.

Small business have struggled this year and I encourage you to support them when you can. Doesn’t mean you have to buy from them if you can’t, but share them with those who you love and that means so much to us. If you can, support them this holiday season, anyway you can. When you buy from a small business you make their day and they are so grateful for each and every sale (small or large), they feel fulfilled, and it gives them motivation to keep going!

I miss my clients, I miss my salon, I miss being able to create ✨hair magic✨

I think my fellow hairstylist are all feelin the same vibes right now. We’re frustrated with the whole situation. This new “outdoor hair service allowed” is a complete and utter smack to the face to our industry. People’s lively hoods are at stake. We are a small business run community and pulling us out of work again after 3 months off and barely any time to financially recover from that is beyond. I understand wanting to flatten the curve but telling us we can do “select” services (haircuts only, no chemical services) and still hold onto the same client protection and sanitation outside is just unrealistic. Not to mention also expensive to set up and not even a possibility to everyone. Especially people that don’t have an outside area where they can take clients. Sorry for the rant. Thanks for coming to my ... now here’s some hair from before the shutdown.

We’ve made some changes due to COVID-19

Dear Madison Blue @ Leora Blue Salon community,

As COVID-19 continues to spread, Leora Blue Salon, will be following Gov. Newsom's most recent 'Stay Safer at Home' and will be closing immediately as of July 13th.

Our reopening date as of right now is TBD. We will begin rescheduling and taking appointments.

As of July 20, 2020, Gov. Newsom has authorized outdoor services for the beauty industry with certain guidelines. We will be looking into those guidelines to see if that will be a possibility to accommodate clients during this time. Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions, concerns, or to get on the waiting list for future appointments . 818-602-5779
