The most potato looking puppies I have ever produced turned a week old yesterday. They are all smooth coat and various shades of sable like sire and dam. They're plump, content and so far (knocking on wood!!!) the easiest puppies l've had. Super proud of how Roux is handling her first litter

As a reminder, I will be keeping on or two from this litter and the rest will be looking for PET homes once my choice has been made. Until then, none of these babies are available.

Roux and Tripp cooked up some beautiful sable babies: 2 boys and 2 girls. I was shocked by how quickly this litter was whelped, especially for a maiden bitch. Her mothering instincts kicked in immediately and she has been so devoted to them.

Our big trip to the Chihuahua National brought us home with more than just ribbons! This sweet little stinker, Taffy, is going to be a special guest on the farm while she grows up and learns the ropes.
From day one she's been incredibly friendly, spunky and always happy to be included in whatever shenanigans are going on with the pack. Whether that's group naps or roughhousing with the other puppies, she's down to clown!
Such a testament to her good breeding and l've been so amused watching her.

Yesterday was the Southern Comfort litter's first birthday, and oh how bittersweet it was
I have been so lucky to find homes that keep me in the loop on their puppies' lives. It means so much to me, especially in the case of this litter as their mom passed away. Seeing her mannerisms, looks and behaviors in her children make me feel like she's still here.
But enough sappyness! These dogs are thriving and happy in their homes and it is EVERYTHING I want as a breeder!

I made a very quick trip down to Gulfport, MS to check in on my smoothie girl, Grits! It was my first time attending this venue. The show grounds were beautiful and the weather was perfect for a mostly outdoor show!
I've missed Grits so much so it was a no brainer that l'd drive down when she was so close even though my schedule lately has been VERY full. I had such a good time seeing my friends and introducing new people to how lovely chihuahuas can be! I even got recognized from Tiktok
