Trying to lose weight while still enjoying dinner out?

Here’s the move:

At home, we build a balanced plate with:
Lean protein
Whole food carbs
Healthy fats

At restaurants, the fat is already everywhere in the cooking. Oils, butter, dressings, sauces. You don’t need to “add” more.

Since fat has more than 2x the calories of protein and carbs, being mindful of it when you eat out can make a huge difference in your progress.

Focus on:

Protein first
Veg + whole food carbs
Ask for sauces/dressings on the side
You still get to enjoy the meal without accidentally doubling your calories.

𝗪𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲
𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
1/2 cup light vanilla ice cream
2/3 scoop angel food UMP protein powder (vanilla works!)
1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/8-1/4 tsp. peppermint extract
6-8 ice cubes
2 drops natural red food coloring (optional but festive!)
10g Lily's Dark Chocolate Stevia Baking Chips
1/4 candy cane (crushed)
1 serving reddi-whip

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
1. Place first 6 ingredients into mini blender and blend until combined. (for a thicker shake, freeze milk into ice cube trays before blending.)
2. Add chocolate chips into blender and pulse until slightly combined but not completely blended (you should see big black specks in shake)
3. Pour into glass and top with reddi-wip, and top with crushed candy cane. Enjoy with a spoon or straw!
