Let’s talk newborn sessions and what they look like when you work with me.

I am a big believer in accepting this time for what it is. Your baby loves their paci? So great! Your baby hates to be swaddled? NO problem. You are not wasting our time by listening to your baby. You are not wasting our time by feeding them. This is your reality. Nothing is forced. Nothing is mandatory. We let baby lead. We let everyone nap. We come in with a loose plan and we watch to see what baby needs.

Your baby will cry because that’s what babies do! When that happens your job is to comfort them in the way they like best. My job is to capture the love. This is not a time to strive for perfection because friend, you’re already there! You’ve done the hard part, now enjoy your little love for all of their wrinkles and smells and cute little facial expressions. Drink. Them. In.

You will not find me wrapping your babies a certain way. You will not find me putting them in baskets. We will not spend hours of precious energy waiting for them to “cooperate”. I simply love them and love you for what you all are in this moment and every, single, time, it turns out beautifully.
