Who doesn’t like a good animal story?! Here are large print short stories devoted entirely to our friends from the Animal Kingdom. Here you’ll find stories about loyal canines, mischievous felines, photobombing birds, and other creatures, large and small, that will make you smile.

This PDF download is specifically for dementia patients. The story lists the many special days in May and do not expect patients to follow it all, just read it aloud and they will hear some familiar words as they listen. Then, discussion questions could be asked. The questions require only yes-or-no answers, although not all patients will respond. Just let them listen. If someone offers comments, just accept them even if they aren’t specific to the information being presented. If using this product at home with just one patient, the same approach applies. I saw someone mention using red toilet seats for dementia as white is harder for patients to see. Someone mentioned red dots. My daughter found vinyl clings on Amazon and I bought them. It does help my LO zero in on where the toilet is located a little faster. I am not an Amazon affiliate. I think our pack was for Christmas as it only had green and red circles. I used the biggest one.
