This summer humbled me in ways I never expected.
For the first time in my life, my mental health took a hit. Between injuries, family challenges, and not being able to work out, I felt like I lost a part of myself. Exercise has always been more than fitness for me—it’s been my therapy, my stress relief, and the place where I reconnect with myself.
There were days I didn’t feel like myself. Days when simply getting through the day felt like enough.
But I’m still here.
I’m surviving. I’m healing. I’m giving myself grace. And today, walking back into the gym wasn’t about losing weight or chasing a goal—it was about finding myself again.
If you’re going through a season that feels heavier than usual, know this: you don’t have to have it all figured out. Sometimes the biggest victory is simply showing up.

I’ll let you in on a little secret…
The Chicago heat was doing the absolute most that day. 🥵 My fresh blowout didn’t stand a chance, the humidity had other plans, and one of my eyelashes was determined to clock out early. 😂
But I’ve learned something: perfection isn’t what builds a business—showing up does.
For a long time, I’ve questioned whether I belonged in rooms like this. Whether I was “CEO material.” Yet here I am, standing in a space I once doubted I deserved.
God gave me this passion, this knowledge, and this purpose. He also gave me an incredible village. My love, Gary Solomon has believed in this dream and supported me every step of the way, making it possible for me to show up as the Founder and Owner of Cafe Moss.
1,900 orders later… we’re still growing. 🌱
Every customer, every market, every lesson, every early morning, every setback, and every victory has helped shape this journey. I’m grateful for all of it.
