Today’s SISH sighting features yours truly (hi, Gaby, Founder of SISH).
Had a super early flight to LA. Woke up, brushed teeth, got dressed, grabbed my suitcase and went out the door. Had my skincare essentials ready to go—SISH cleanser, mask, tinted moisturizer, SPF powder, and facial mist. Got on the plane, did a gentle exfoliating cleanse with SISH, put on a hydrating mask and landed in LA with soft, smooth glowing skin.

One of the first jobs I had as an esthetician was working at a luxury hotel in South Beach, Miami. Every winter season, I noticed the same pattern. Clients visiting from colder climates would come in struggling with their skin—sun damage, breakouts, dehydration. The glowing vacation skin they were hoping for just wasn’t happening.
Winter travel can be especially tricky because of the quick shift in climate—whether it’s hot to cold, cold to hot, cold to colder, or hot to hotter. Regardless of what type of climate you’re traveling to, skincare issues can happen anytime your routine doesn’t adapt and isn’t supported properly.
5 of the most common winter travel skincare mistakes are:
1) Not Adjusting for Climate

Amy is a mom, USC grad student and marathon runner. Between taking care of her daughter, going to class, studying, and keeping up with her marathon training schedule…there’s never a dull moment.

Can you guess what one of the biggest packing mistakes is…?
According to professional packer one of the biggest packing mistakes people make is not having a strategy for toiletries. Transferring your skincare to little bottles might not seem so bad in theory, but when it comes to actually having to do it…? Horrible.
Then what if it leaks? Bottle breaks? Spills? Ugh. Ok, and let’s pretend you’re lucky and none of those things happen. But when you get back home, you have leftover product in these tiny containers and then what? Maybe you leave it sitting there until your next trip, maybe you scrape it back into the original bottle, or just forget about it altogether.
Point is, packing toiletries (skincare in particular), is a headache.

Today’s SISH sighting features the lovely Nicole and her recent trip to Bali.
To be fully present in the beauty, spirituality and effortlessness of a place like Bali was all that mattered. Easy mornings and lazy beach days didn’t require much…less packing, less overthinking, more just being.
Skincare was about the basics. Spending each day at a different little hideaway beach gave her the kind of glow that only seems to happen when you’re in a magical place like Bali. A renewing cleanse with SISH, and then it was back to exploring.
