Our health is suffering. To top it off, our environment is chemically-laden. Our skincare and beauty products are full of unregulated chemicals that are making matters worse. There are more than 80,000 chemicals on the market today. Many don't have any safety data. This is particularly true of those used in the skin care and beauty industry. This page is dedicated to the conversation of health.

Do your metabolism a favor: eat every 3-4 hours, making sure to include a source of lean protein, good fat, and complex carbohydrate at every meal and snack. This trick ensures a steady supply of nutrients to your body and allows your blood sugar levels to stay stable, which is one way to make you feel satisfied instead of famished! Snazz up your salmon dish and create Coconut Curry Salmon! On a 1 lb. wild salmon fillet, top with 1.5 Tbsps of coconut oil, 1 tsp of curry powder, adding salt and pepper to taste. Cook at 350 for 15 minutes or until flakes easily. Add a side of asparagus and you have yourself a delicious, nutritious, and oh-so-easy meal! I will admit that I am a complete coffee snob. My morning wouldn't be complete without a freshly ground medium roast . But is this habit healthy of detrimental? Blueberries are rich in phytonutrients, plant compounds that offer an array of health promoting properties! Research hints that blueberries may slow the progression of many degenerative diseases of the brain as well as prevent certain cancers. Who needs pie for dessert when you can have a healthy treat like blueberries? Add some greek yogurt and a few walnuts, and you are set!

We are a society that wants results yesterday and despise the idea of having to wait. However, when it comes to weight loss and leading a healthy lifestyle, we must, MUST, understand it isn't a quick fix. It's important we think of it as a marathon, not a sprint, realizing first and foremost a state of good health take precedence over a specific number on the scale!
