ONORIQUE Spring/Summer 23 Series MACROCOSM The fourth in our dreamy collaborative art series depicting beauty and botany intertwined. In Western society, it’s been largely forgotten that we’re deeply interconnected with nature and that it forms our very existence. It’s the basis of all life and provides everything we need to survive. Nature makes us happier and healthier, and there’s a mountain (excuse the pun) of scientific data to back it up. The mental and physical benefits our Flowering Pharmacy family experience working with farmers on the land and natural ingredients have been significant. It helps remind us of the principal reason our company exists. It drives performance, engagement, brand awareness, and much more and has become a powerful differentiator for our organization. Although we might live in urban environments and are addicted to modern technology, reconnecting with nature is essential to reconnect with ourselves and the purpose and meaning of life. Being connected with nature, engaging in outdoor activities, or just viewing pictures of natural settings helps people to heal and regain what’s been lost through experiencing stress, grief, and trauma. Nature might not be the only solution or have all the answers, but integrating nature into our daily life or healing journey is compelling and wholesome. So much so that physicians are dispensing nature and pharmaceutical prescriptions to encourage patients to get outdoors and take advantage of what many view as free medicine. ONORIQUE Spring/Summer 23 Series GODCHILD The second in our dreamy collaborative art series depicting beauty and botany intertwined. Biodiversity is essential for the processes that support all life on Earth, including humans. Without a wide range of animals, plants, and microorganisms, we cannot have the healthy ecosystems we rely on to provide us with the air we breathe and the food we eat. It’s also an important factor in designing and producing our nature positive products. One example of this is our rose fields in England. They are home to the extremely cute, fluffy dormouse – they love to frolic, scurry, and weave their way in and out of the stems to find food. As a team of animal lovers following biodiversity farming methods, we painstakingly comb our rose fields, picking the bottom few inches of thorns from every one of these stems. It’s a lengthy and time-consuming task, which comes with a fair few pricked fingers and thumbs, but it’s incredibly gratifying. Every time we remove a set of thorns, we feel a sense of relief as we have potentially saved the life of another little dormouse and its family. And as for those thorns?
