Yes this is more like it
The new U.S. dietary guidelines are telling people to eat more animals… and honestly, that’s ridiculous.
The average American already consumes ~250 lbs (113 kg) of meat per year, along with high levels of saturated fat, yet most people still don’t even reach the minimum daily fiber intake!
So instead of encouraging:
➡️ more plants
➡️ more fiber
➡️ less animal products
They do the opposite!!!!!
Not surprising when many of the people behind these guidelines have ties to the meat and dairy industry! 💰💰💰
And the advice doesn’t even add up.
They say:
• Eat lots of meat, full-fat dairy, and eggs
• But also keep saturated fat under 10% of daily calories
For context:
A meal with a 200g steak, cooked in 1 tbsp beef tallow, plus 50g of cheese already delivers ~30g of saturated fat — that’s nearly the full daily limit in one sitting.
Also… let’s talk protein.
All plants contain protein, yet somehow tofu, lentils, and beans are missing from the “protein” section?
So yeah we fixed it for you:
👉 Eat more plants.
👉 Or only plants, if you want to eat in the healthiest way possible without harming animals.
