Have bands, will train…anywhere. I started working with resistance bands because we had to stay at home. Now that we can travel again, I’m reminded that bands travel much easier than dumbbells 😂😂. Even without all my hardware, I found a way to have class for all the homies who start their workdays with me. Even in low definition, we put that work in.

One year ago, on May 12, 2020, we had our first “Homie Home Fitness” class. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and sweat with me over the last year. We grew from a couple homies to a Flash Mob and you’ve all kept me motivated to show up every morning, not just for you, but for myself.

It’s been an up and down year for many of us, but I hope the mornings we’ve shared have brought some joy to your lives. ❤️✊🏼💪🏼

On Tuesdays we rock with our Upper Body (B-Side), focusing on lighter resistance, and isolating one side of the body at a time.

Yesterday’s leg and arm workout was especially tough. I had gotten a vaccine shot Tuesday night and was feeling some ill effects including a noticeably lower wind. I’ve always used how hard I could exercise as a barometer for how much I had recovered from being sick. I’d say I was around 7/10 yesterday 🤣😳, but leg and arm day is more about building strength than cardio, so we got it done 😤. Moral of this story...do strength training, not cardio, after getting a vaccine shot 👍🏼😁.
