She received a B.A. from the College of New Rochelle and a M.S. from Fordham University. Beauty in Pain, which will soon be released, is Ms. Benton's first novel. The second novel, Autumn's Five Seasons which was inspired by her first book, Black Love: A Book of Poetry, is scheduled to come out at the end of 2011.
