The piece was inspired by the Subway Therapy project, a project started by Mathew Chavez in which people have been writing messages of love on post-its that have now taken over one of the walls in the Union Square subway. The goal was to use bodyart to bring even more attention to that project. I wanted to highlight the message of love, and people of all races, religions, genders, and sexual orientation coming together to make sure their voices are being heard. I painted the model live at Union Square on the morning of December 1st and invited people who where passing by to leave a post-it with a message they would like to leave on the wall. I would then write it on her body as well as leave their post-it on the wall at the end of the painting.

The prints will be available for sale in the next couple days on my site, a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to The Human Rights Campaign and Planned Parenthood.
