What looks effortless is actually a little haircut magic + texture + strategic chaos. The goal? That “I just threw this up but somehow look cooler than everyone at brunch” vibe.

Hi, I’m Heather Olexa — a NYC-trained hairstylist now cutting hair in Austin, Texas.

For over two decades I’ve been obsessed with three things:
• precision cutting and coloring
• razor texture
• creating hair that actually works in real life

My chair is where technical cutting meets individuality.
Short hair, s**gs, razor work, wash-and-go texture… the kind of cuts and color that grow out beautifully and don’t fight you every morning.

I’ve spent my career behind the chair, backstage, on set, and educating other stylists — and I’m still just as obsessed with the craft as the day I started in 1999.

Austin clients get a little bit of New York edge, and stylists get the nerdy haircut breakdowns because sharing knowledge is part of the job.
