Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

To all of the mamas out there, whether you have nursed your baby for 1 day or 5 years, I salute you!

Breastfeeding comes with so many emotions. The highest of highs and the lowest of lows. It’s the most beautiful and most challenging thing I have ever done.

I have nursed 3 babies. I am beyond proud of the nourishment and love I have given them at the breast. I credit my success with the support I got early on.

Support is so important for a nursing mother. So much more than the stuff moms are made to think they need when they have a baby.

There is so much misinformation about breastfeeding even from our healthcare providers. Mostly because they aren’t trained in it.

Let’s normalize postpartum support along with normalizing breastfeeding. It is key to the success of our motherhood.

Baby girl is 36 weeks!

I can’t believe how quickly this time has gone.

She will be earth side soon and though I’m excited to meet her I think I will miss this time I spent growing her.

I keep thinking...
What will she look like? How will the adjustment be for my boys and our family? What will my labor be like?

I’m excited to not be pregnant when wearing a mask though.

I’m also soaking in my last few days of work. I will miss my friends and constant support here.

What a year! So many lows but some highs too!

So much family time that filled my heart.

Growing my business and collaborating with some kick ass men and women filled my soul during the dark times.

Leading virtual la leche league meetings to help new moms during this unprecedented time helped me to stay connected to my mama community.

I was even able to get back to work on set doing makeup. It looks so different with the masks, shields and daily testing but it’s been good to be back doing what I love.

And growing our baby girl.

2021 is finally here. The year my daughter will be born. The light at the end of this dark and weird tunnel.

Hoping for more days with family & friends. Lots of hugs, no masks and just life back to normal.

What a year!

It’s easy to focus on the lows but I’m taking this time to focus on what 2020 has given me and my family.

My Beautycounter business exploded. I hit director and gained some amazing and inspiring business partners!

We had 6 months of uninterrupted family time. Which I will treasure forever.

We spent endless days at the beach. Stone and Rhett still ask daily when we can go back! It’s our happy place.

Growing this baby girl in my belly has for sure been my guiding light through this time.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season. I’m so excited for the brightness 2021 will bring to us all!

Baby girl decided to help her mama with makeup today!

She picked my favorite hot pink shade called The Fuschia is Clean from

I’ve had the dropsies so much lately.

My bump is starting to get in the way.

I’m also either freezing or sweating profusely.

Oh and the heartburn is setting in.

Otherwise I feel amazing.

I actually love being pregnant!

Hoboken Halloween was a treat! Our little Werewolf and Bat had the best time. This mama had fun doing some face painting too. All of course!

Look closely at Stones face. I hand laid some hair for the full effect. 😂

I loved watching them get into character too!

This was such a fun look to coordinate with my mask!

I used all makeup except for the mascara which was by

Face painting can be fun and there are so many great safe products you can use. I love how the Beautycounter liquid eyeliner worked to paint on the spots. I also used a mixture of our eyeshadow palettes, eyeliner and some new holiday beauty faves.

As a makeup artist I always pull from my clean products first and then add in conventional products if I need. It’s amazing how many looks I can achieve with just my clean beauty faves. It’s such a plus when I’m painting my kids faces too.

What do you use to paint your face? How creative are you with your Halloween looks? You don’t need to be a pro, and with makeup you can always wipe away your mistakes!
