What was your cancer treatment experience like?

When I was diagnosed with cancer at 33 I was "too young" to be diagnosed. Like so many of us thrivers out there.

My first day of treatment I saw a young woman across the room who looked to be younger than me...
and then women who were 20-30 years my senior. Such a vast difference.

Cancer does not discriminate... yet it can be so lonely and isolating.

Here is the truth. It doesn’t have to be this way. During treatment I would walk around the room... bringing love and light to others who were struggling so hard each and every day. Remembering that we just have to remember to turn on the light.

There is a huge community of cancer survivors out there who are struggling with the exact same things that you are. There are women who gained weight during treatment, who gained weight after treatment, who are scared of their food, who have achy joints and feel like they’re 80 years old. There’s nothing wrong with you. You are not alone.

Having a community of cancer survivors to lean on is critical in your cancer treatment and it is just as imporant in your recovery. That’s why I’m here.

Let's do this together!

Anyone else walk through treatment hand in hand with your oncologist and care team. Every week you meet, you chat, you catch up. You are there for hours hanging around receiving your chemo that has been carefully planned and infused. You are watched to ensure nothing goes wrong and if it does there is a plan B, C, and D that we will be put into action immediately.

Then you get to the end of treatment and…
Nothing. It is very anti-climatic. Maybe you rang a 🔔 and then they said, take this and we will see you in a few months! 😳

🧐Wait, what?! I have questions!
🤷🏻‍♀️How do I do the things?!
😳The everyday stuff?
💕How do I live in survivorship?
🙌🏻I don’t want to just survive I want to thrive!
🥵How do I live in forced menopause?
🔥How do I handle these hot flashes?
😴I'm exhausted ALL.THE.TIME…
😱How?! I need a plan!

I worked closely with my oncologist and we talked about more natural ways to heal because I personally didn’t want to be put on another medication to fix the side effects of the medication I had to be on. Follow along for how I went from cancer survivor to cancer thriver and let’s do it together!

Note: this is my own personal experience and in no way medical advice. These are lifestyle choices I made with the advice of my dr and nutritionist and had great success. Advice may vary depending on individual circumstances. It's always advisable to consult with healthcare professionals, for personalized advice and guidance based on individual health status and needs.

All of it. The TV, the radio, social media, your phone. All the voices. Shut it down… for at least 15 minutes today, and be in silence. Maybe even try 15min (or more) each day of this weekend… I know the world can be loud and it is hard to hear our own needs and voice above it all but… you matter and so do your needs.

Seeing people smile stimulates our mirror neurones to suppress our facial muscle control, and trigger a smile. 'You smile, I smile' is actually a scientific fact! Furthermore, smiling also brings health benefits, like reducing anxiety, as well as lowering your blood pressure and heart rate.

Do only one thing at a time. Yes, today. It is actually more efficient, and you will face the day with more joy.

Simply ask yourself in any given area of my life, “What's the one thing I can do, such that by doing it everything else is easier or unnecessary?” That's it. Intrigued? Check out

Our Story

I’m a wife, mom, and breast cancer survivor... like many of you, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I had been applying lotion and sunscreen to myself and then to my babies... I was ingesting all sorts of protein powders, and drinks in the search to be healthy. I assumed everything was safe. Back in 2012 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and came to learn
that companies are allowed to use harmful ingredients and make their own judgments about safety. It is because of this I joined Arbonne. I stand with Arbonne and their commitment, for over 35 years, to have the cleanest, most effective products out there.
