And to our Black veterans, whose stories have too often been silenced or erased even as we speak today, I see you. I thank you for giving your lives and your loyalty to a country that hasn’t always returned that love. Your contribution is undeniable, your legacy is powerful, and your courage continues to inspire generations. We will never forget and we will do what we have always done: tell your stories so our children will tell their children and their children's children.
