You've head me say this before! Take care of your PA's! You never know when your PA is going to be your 1st AD? And a PA can make your day, but a 1st AD could ruin it! Thank God I'm friends with Anthony Finkel , I got all bases covered!

Saw this post on the Actors and screen writers alliance! They said they had a budget of 12K and they were paying me 2K/12hr! Now i know i make more money on commercials but this is crazy talk! So when i emailed them and said i was moving my schedule around to accommodate them! They never got back to me?
Is there away to report scams, like this?

If i can offer advise to any aspiring artist?
- dont let anyone question your talent, keep looking for the one that appriates your work
- dont let anyone define your idea of beauty, remain open & let it come out organically
- try everything and dont get stuck in something that can hold you back
- if you need to do something to pay the bills, so be it! But dont forget your pasion & keep working towards the day you can make what you love make money for you!
- in this crazy world, there are no mistakes! Imperfections are natural beauty
-dont be afraid to re invent yourself, regardless of chronological age

So what is the deal with all these film making groups on here? Everyone is low budget or micro budget? Do we not find finacial support for filming anymore or is everyone looking for a freebie? I got to tell you everything i see on here screams they are full of s**t!

So in cosmology school they teach you to identify your client!
Meaning satisfy the person that is paying you! Not the kid in the chair that wants purple hair, but the mom!
Not the bossy mother of the bride, who wants a full facial, but the bride & what fits her budget! Now a good make up artist will walk that fine line of appeasing both!
I find it the same on set! It's very important to identify the client & make the talent feel like your taking care of them!
You will find that you will be bombarded with opions! Some helpful but most from people who have no idea of what you or the director & producer are going for! Same with still photography! Know your photographer & what his vision is!
The best is when you find that person who trust you and just leaves you to do your job!
