Lisianthus for the win! These stems worked it out through some rough Spring weather 💪 We definitely lost a good number because of extreme heat and extreme frost, but the ones that made it feel extra special.

A spooky Spring palette headed to the Amanda Staples farm stand this weekend. Sometimes I look out at the field and wonder how I’m going to make a cohesive batch of bouquets with what is currently blooming. Sometimes is ends of looking like Halloween in June and that’s what makes it fun 😂
The parts of my job that keep me up at night are usually things that are mostly out of my control (drought, storms, bugs etc) but today I feel like we are gaining just a teensy bit of control over how our Lisianthus will fare in Summer storms. Last year (in a panic) before a big rainstorm I dragged my partner Drew to the farm to try to throw these big sheets of plastic over our beds in a hurry. It was a disaster and a moment of thinking “this can’t ever happen again” 😂 and we are finally getting somewhere. This isn’t a permanent solution (or maybe it is if it works well) but it is a DIY solution for a limited budget and a small team. We’ll see how it goes! As always shoutout to Cassie 🌷Jig-Bee Flower & Seed Company for the initial tools to build this farm 💜 ☀️
Had a nice visit with from recently :) I love any chance to gab about city farming and what we are doing at Terra Luna ☀️
Garlic! An unexpected star on our flower farm 😂 I’m obsessed with this plant for some many reasons (one of which is simply that I so rarely have time to focus on growing plants that I get to eat! 😆) Today’s scape harvest was so fun and I can’t wait to see what our florists do with the stems!

Had some visitors from this weekend! Always nice to share the space with volunteers (these amazing teens helped with weeding and harvesting) and they got to make some Snapdragon bouquets as thanks for their hard work :) ☀️
