I have been Mentored by many throughout my journey as a Hairstylist my a grandmother was my first mentor as a youth she taught me the importance of Haircare and how to mix herbs, Glovers mane and olive oil as an aid to having healthy hair. Even though she straighten hair she never used chemicals only a Hot comb. I learned at a very early age who to use hot combs, stove curlers and even using brown bag to curl.. My Mother is also important to my development as a Stylist as a Teen she would take me to Hair shows and Culture events that open my creativity to fashion, hair and makeup. Another Mentor that I must mention is Yvette Smalls I was introduced to her by my Mother and as a small child Yvette Smalls would braid my hair in intricate designs with beads an cowrie shells.. Yvette Smalls later mentored me throughout my development as a Stylist and conscience woman in the Community. Sister "E" will be missed but her Legacy will continue through Me and thousands of others...

The Philadelphia Locks Conference was a venue that gave me a chance to showcase my skills and win several awards for my craft, Founder Sharon Goodman was someone who motivated me and supported me at events I facilitated. My career as a Makeup Artist has given me the oppurtunity to train and meet with some of the best Makeup Artist in the Industry. The Make show in New York has been an event I attend each year to upgrade my skills and purchase Pro Products to insure quality products for my clients.
