Hearth & Threshold Protection Spell

This ritual is designed to create an energetic shield around your home, transforming it into a place of peace, safety, and spiritual protection.

Tools & Materials

* 1 white or silver candle (for lunar energy and purity)
* A small bowl of water (rainwater, seawater, or tap water with a pinch of salt)
* A small dish of salt (for grounding and protection)
* Protective herbs (choose one or more): rosemary, sage, thyme, or bay leaves
* A small piece of paper and a pen

1. Prepare Your Sacred Space

Cleanse your workspace however you prefer. Arrange your tools with:

* Candle at the North
* Salt at the East
* Herbs at the South
* Water at the West

Sit quietly for a few moments and ground your energy.

2. Write Your Petition

On the paper, write a clear intention for your home.

Example:
“Only love, peace, and safety may enter this home. All malice and negativity are turned away at the door.”

Fold the paper toward yourself three times and place it in the center of your workspace.

3. Light the Candle

Light your candle and hold your hands over your ritual space.

Say:

“By the light of the Cancer Moon, I awaken the elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. Bless this shield of protection. May only love, peace, and harmony dwell within these walls. So mote it be.”

4. Bless the Petition

Take a pinch of salt and add it to the bowl of water. Stir clockwise three times using your dominant index finger.

5. Seal Your Threshold

Allow the candle to burn safely until finished (or extinguish it safely if needed and relight later).

Take the bowl of blessed water and your herb to your front door. Dip the herb into the water and lightly trace around the frame of your front door and any ground-floor windows.

As you do, visualize brilliant silver-white light sealing every entrance and creating a protective barrier around your home.

6. Anchor the Spell

Bury the damp petition in a potted plant near your entrance or just outside your front door to anchor the intention into the earth.
