Just wanted to take a moment (between cooking and our daughters nap time) to thank all of you who have continued to rock with me over the years and support me no matter what, however you can.

My coach shared these words the other day that completely spoke to my heart.

For those who don’t know, I am Asian-American.... I’ve never in my 34 (young 😜) years of life been so disgusted and embarrassed to be either Asian or American.
•
No, I am NOT Chinese (let’s make that clear). But to a stranger, that wouldn’t matter cause we all “look the same” right? Regardless of others ignorance, I am still utterly disappointed as a human race entirely.
•
No one wants to be profiled... no one wants to be victimized..... no one deserves to be categorized just because they look a certain way.....
•

Then where is the empathy? The compassion? The LOVE for one another? The humanity?
•
Right now there is a lot of hurt, anguish and uncertainty about who wants to support who and who will stand by who in these times. I just want all of my patrons and clients..... black..... brown.... white... pink... green or purple.... know that I love you all and I truly appreciate all of you..... especially those who have not lost sight or humanity and continues to support ME and my business through all this haste. Thank you.

See, not only do I predominately serve black women..... but I am married to a black man and I am raising a brown daughter. We see no color over here. So thank you to all who reciprocate that towards me.

Life’s still been pretty normal. 🤷🏻‍♀️ we keep a tight circle and have still resumed business with limited availability and of course taking all proper protocol in this time.

Some states and businesses are slowly coming back.....

And MOTHERS DAY is right around the corner.

All of you know I am no longer in the salons, I work from home now. Because of that, I only work by appts and try my best to not overcrowd our home space as my family is here.

I share this to insure all of my lovely clients that I am always taking measures to make sure my home and work environment is clean and safe for the sake of myself, my family and all of you.

This Covid19 scare calls for all of us to diligently do what we all should’ve BEEN doing to prevent the contracting and spreading of all colds/bacterias/viruses.

So you’re getting bold and think you wanna try waxing your own eyebrows huh?

This is something I personally recommend seeking a professional for.....
•
But I get it..... if you have a hand for anything beauty related... you’re gonna want to DIY everything if you can help it.... it actually saves you time and money to do things yourself..... so why not?
•
The best way to do this, in my opinion, is to draw or fill in your brows the exact way you like them..... and use that as a guide when waxing off the excess hairs.
•
Also, don’t bring the wax lines too too close to your make up/brow outline.
•
This will help you shape your brows the way you like them AND will help prevent you from accidentally waxing off parts of your brows that don’t need to be messed with!!!
•
BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET LONG STRANDS CAUGHT IN THE WAX!!! This can cause patches!!! So brush those hairs out of the way before applying wax and before removing wax!

The unknown is scary..... that’s why.....

But every time s**t don’t seem to work or come together after my own doing...... and I fall back and just let things go.... let things flow with no mental or emotional attachments and worries.....God always...... I repeat..... GOD ALWAYS COMES THROUGH.

Shocked? You shouldn’t be!! It’s HAIR!! It regenerates!!!

But because of this fact, those who wear lash extensions should be mindful of this as it will affect the look of your lash extensions as the days pass...
•

THIS is why we encourage refills every 2-3 weeks because your lashes will NOT look the same a couple weeks, even a 5-6 days, later due to the simple fact that OUR LASHES NATURALLY shed as well. Don’t forget normal wear and tear also... 🤷🏻‍♀️

This was this clients first time getting her brows professionally waxed and shaped. All we did was neaten it up a little. She also had me throw on a little bit of the semi-ink to make her brows just a little more lush. Not that it was needed though....
