OLE BEAUTIES, OVER MEASURE TODAY — Lot of big ones today. Many were “NOT A KEEPAH”. Over the size for legal keeping. Too big. We put our boat name on some of them. It’ll be fun to see if somebody else catches them and let us know. We stopped from baiting and setting for a moment to play with these big lobstahs.

THE LAW — Under Maine state law, a lobster is too big to keep if its carapace (the main body shell) measures more than 5 inches. The legal harvesting window requires the body shell to measure between 3 1/4 inches and 5 inches.

F/V JOYFUL NOISE — We splashed April 28. She started right up. Ran great too. Captain Mike did an awesome job to get the boat ready.
MY NEW OFFICE — Not a bad view, always changing.
FISHING ISN’T A FASHION SHOW — well I wasn’t loving this photo, but it needs to be documented as my first smiling face aboard the new vessel. I smile a lot when I’m on the ocean visibly on the outside, but also deeply inside. I belong on the water.
MY NEW COLORS — it’s looking like an orange and yellow season. Yellow!!! Like my new favorite yellow lobster shirts I just launched. I think I need an orange hoodie or an orange hat with a yellow lobster on it. Go team orange and yellow. : ) go get ‘em
