The truth is that GYNKGO today looks different than I thought it would a year ago. But if I’ve learned anything over the last 12 months, it’s that flexibility and persistence are two of the most important things when bringing a new idea into the world.

Thank you for being here and I’m excited to show you what we’ve been quietly working on when the time is right!

Sometimes it feels like we’re the toddler sitting at the dinner table, and then I remember that at the end of a “care model” is a patient that needs to use the bathroom, sleep, work, and find her joy, and THAT is why we’re still here and moving forward.

I’m excited to be at this week. There’s something visceral about the energy of being in a space where the focus is on brining solutions to the vastly under resourced area of women’s health. We’re honored to be here and excited for tomorrow to begin!

I’m crossing fingers and toes that this is the first step in a partnership, but for now we’re taking it as a cosmic sign we’re on the right path!

And just like that, we are two weeks into a new school year, dealing with some family health issues, and a couple of sick kiddos, and realizing that every part of this life is a marathon, not a sprint. Our small team is working every day (even if it feels painfully small) to bring ease and support for women managing vaginal pessaries.

First and foremost, is a woman’s health company. Yes, we are making a product to sell, but more than that we are working to improve access and ease for the tools women need to manage their health. This means having complete information to understand what those needs are. We will always be talking about access and information. ❤️

When I started this two years ago, I never could have anticipated the drive I would develop to make something absolutely perfect for our future customers.

The deeper into this process I’ve gotten, the more committed I am to making sure we are bringing to market a product that is exactly what women need and want. The goal isn’t just to have another *thing* — it’s to take the stress and mental labor out of one piece of managing our health, and to normalize a common health condition that causes undue suffering for women throughout the world.

I also couldn’t have anticipated how critical it would become to have a local partner who is working with us every step of the way, and an awesome team behind and beside me. Things have been a bit quieter as we work through some financing and next steps, but we are so excited to be closer every day to bringing this solution to life.
