His story has very little to do with the number on the scale. It’s about getting back to something he thought he might never do again.

Years of wear and tear on his body from being in the military left him dealing with pain, inflammation, and brain fog. Today, he’s back to running half marathons and already looking forward to completing another one, and eventually a full marathon, with his wife, Lorena.

If waking up in the middle of the night has become your new normal, you’re not imagining it.

One of the most common reasons women wake up around 3 a.m. during perimenopause and menopause is changing estrogen levels.

This is probably one of the most common questions I get.

And the answer isn’t the same for everyone.

Some people stay on their medication longer than others. Some reduce their dose over time. Some transition into a maintenance phase. It really depends on your health history, your goals, how your body responds, and what you and your provider decide is the best path forward.

What I always tell my patients is this:

The medication is one piece of the puzzle.

Throughout your journey, we’re also talking about nutrition, protein, movement, habits, and the things that help support long-term success. Those don’t stop being important once you reach your goal.

One of the reasons I love these conversations is because they shift the focus from “How fast can I lose the weight?” to “How do I maintain the progress I’ve worked so hard for?”

One of the biggest fears people have isn’t losing the weight.

It’s gaining it back.

And honestly, after years of dieting, I understand why. A lot of people have experienced the cycle before:

microdose GLP-1

I have 5 kids.

So trust me when I say my days don’t always go according to plan 😅

Some days I’m on top of everything. Other days I’m grabbing a meal between appointments, driving kids around, answering emails, and wondering where the day went.

That’s one of the reasons I’ve always believed that any approach to weight loss has to fit into your life. Not the other way around.

Because if something only works when your schedule is perfect, what happens when summer break starts? Or vacation? Or sports season? Or life gets busy?

I’ve learned that if a plan requires everything to go perfectly, it’s probably not going to last very long. Because life doesn’t stay the same from week to week.

Schedules change.
Kids get sick.
Summer happens.
Things come up.

That’s one of the things I appreciate most about a microdosing a GLP-1. It helps support my goals without feeling like my entire day revolves around weight loss.

They’re giving themselves permission to be imperfect and keep going anyway.
