I think this was my favorite gift to give this year. About 5 years ago, the incredibly talented created 3 canvases for me. Boy did she knock it out of the park. I had so much fun finishing these. The story behind it was ever Christmas, it would take my dad AT LEAST an hour to get up, shower, dressed and down stairs…meanwhile his 4 children had to wait at the top of the stairs. When he would FINALLY flip on the lights (usually by this point three of us had to hold back the fourth sister) he would always say go back to bed Santa didn’t come. Thank you for helping me pull it all together. The backing is from a suit of my beloved Grandmother. Cording on 2 of the 3 pieces (I forgot to take a picture of the 3rd one) was from a dress of my mother.
