This 'Free Market' is a community gathering where participants donate clean & usable items, services, samples and information absolutely free.
Our mission is to increase sustainable and abundant living through local cooperative community efforts. The "Free Market" events wwere held in Rochester, MN at C4 on the last Saturday of each month. Features often include live music, haircuts, product samples, palm readings, TimeTrader orientations, garden items, CSA pick up, arts and crafts, etc all for free. Anyone may contribute. IMPORTANT** We will switch from weekly to monthly markets the first Sunday 3-5pm of each month after September 2nd. The market will continue every Sunday 3-5 through September 2nd at Barlow Plaza.

Where do items not taken go? They stay at Barlow Plaza in storage and are brought back out the next Sunday!
The free market is attracting a good following of garage sale enthusiasts. Many people prefer to bring their second hand items to the free market and their items are finding new homes to free market 'shoppers'. As the market continues to grow the opportunity for sharing information, food, samples and services within the community also grows.
Volunteer! Thank you to the volunteers that help setup tables, bring out items from storage, sort and organize and then pack them back into storage again every Sunday. This market depends on you to voluneer and new volunteers are very welcome. Setup is 2:00-3:00. Takedown is 5:00 - 6:00.
Open Mic! If it's appropriate for a general audience you're welcome to perform live music at the free market. A plug-in is available and accoustic is also welcome.
