If you've ever loved a perfume at first spray but felt differently a half-hour later, here is why. Perfumery is an art, but it's also a masterclass in thermodynamics and molecular weight.
0-5 Mins: You experience the highly volatile top notes. They are small, light, and evaporate rapidly.
15-30 Mins: Your natural body heat (around 32°C) gives the molecules energy. As the top notes fade, the heavier heart/middle notes emerge.
Because your pulse points, body temperature, and environment are constantly changing, your perfume is a living, evolving experience. Next time you're testing a new fragrance, never judge it by the first spray...give the chemistry time to do its magic!

Now we host swaps, special events, and casual social hangs for fragrance lovers in the Chicago suburbs. Every ticket we sell goes to charity.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended our event! As perfume enthusiasts, we recognize the luxury of pursuing our passion. Yesterday, we gathered to explore fragrances, connect with one another, and give back to our community.
