Buildings and planes that were shredded fell upward into the clouds, and massive amounts of earth and ocean were torn up and began to circulate in the atmosphere. Only those who could find a way to keep themselves underground were spared the colossal destruction. As for the rest, their screams filled the cold, red skies. After the dust settled, people emerged from the darkness to try and find a way to live. Most established settlements where it was warm, including Noble, the city in this story. The survivors learned to live in their new environment, retreating underground when it became too unsafe. Massive bodies of ocean still floated above, often crashing back to the ground and drowning everything in the water’s raging path. Other threats existed, but the people thrived. It was a new start in a strange new world.
