Even though you can't really see my before and after, this is a short video of a RADIOFREQUENCY treatment done on myself.
It's an amazing way to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in our cells, to achieve a healtier, toned and lifted skin.
It can be done in any area of our bodies, and depending on the area it can promote fat loss and body contouring.

There is a great way to help sculpt your body: ULTRASOUND CAVITATION.

If you haven't heard of ultrasound cavitation, you really should check it out. It's non-invasive body contouring that's fast, effective, painless, and affordable. It also happens to be one of my favorite therapies to do at my studio because the results are immediate. Who doesn't love instant gratification? Cavitation is a process of releasing fat from problem areas (from abs, love handles, thighs, arms, hips, backs) through sound waves. The best part is, it drains the fat cell much like diet and exercise, so if your weight is stable, the results are just as permanent as if you'd lost it through traditional methods.

I know, it sounds too good to be true, but it does!!! and I've performed this procedure on many of my patients who would vouch for the effectiveness. Unfortunately, I can't actually give you their names or show their records due to HIPPA regulations but, trust me, it works... try it for tour self!!!
No, it won't give you a bikini body on it's own, but it does help with spot reduction of problem areas.

Cavitation works through the use of an ultrasound machine calibrated for this exact purpose. The sound waves causes subcutaneous fat to bubble out of the fat cell (the word "cavitate" means "to cause to bubble"). Some of the fat is picked up by the lymphatic system and flushed through the liver as normal body waste. While the amount of fat mobilized is small, it makes a big impact on measurements.

The downside (there's always one, isn't there?): A few people experience a sense of unwellness for about 20 minutes after treatment. (Your liver is working hard and may let you know.) Drinking water helps alleviate this feeling, though most people don't experience any side effects at all other than increased thirst, which is another sign your liver is working overtime. And you won't actually feel thinner, at least not immediately, because it's not a weight loss method. In fact, you won't notice anything on the scale. You will, however, actually see and feel the reduction in your measurements. It's weird like that.

Cavitation shouldn't be performed on pregnant or lactating women, people with active cancer or are being treated for cancer, have autoimmune disorders, liver disease, kidney disease, heart disease, nor pacemakers. But if you're in generally good health, it's an option you may find helpful in reaching your personal aesthetic goals.

While everyone is unique, our typical patient will lose about 1/2 from the natural waist, 1" from the umbilicus, and 1/2 from lower abs in their first 30 minute appointment. Results on thighs, arms, and hips aren't usually quite as dramatic. Thighs and multiple areas are treated in 60 minute appointments. Abs, arms, hips, backs, or love handles can be treated within 30 minutes. And, to be honest, there's diminishing return after a few visits, so it's not something you can do long term. That said, if your weight is stable, you won't need more than a few visits.

If you're interested in trying out the procedure, consultations are free. You'll get to try it out with no obligation. I'll explain the procedure, show you the machine, and, if you're comfortable with it, try it out for a few minutes so you know what it feels and sounds like. Most people say it feels like a hot stone massage and, despite the somewhat irritating sound the waves make, some patients fall asleep during the treatment. Most people come in for a series of three to five treatments, but a single treatment may do the trick for a special occasion.

When you're ready for treatment, all I ask is that that you come in well hydrated. Sound waves travel best through water. So, that means at least eight 8 oz. glasses of water in the 24 hours before your treatment. Any clear, decaffinated liquid will do. If you must have caffeine before your treatment, you'll want to drink an extra cup of water. Hydration is key to getting good results.

After your treatment, you should continue drinking water, try to avoid alcohol and high fat foods for 48 hours (you'll want to be kind to your liver), and get some exercise as soon as feasibly possible to help pump your lymphatic system to ensure the best results. A brisk walk is adequate.

You can see my own results, and definitely take advantage of this amazing treatment!!!

There are many ways to improve the look and feel of our skin.
Botox or Peptides? Hyaluronic Acid, Resveratrol, AHA's, Stem Cells, Water?... all valid forms of improvement, but you can't pretend to have a glowing skin in one day, it's a process and it starts all on the inside. Drink the proper mount of water, eat vegetables and fruits that are beneficial for your skin and remember; it's the largest organ in our body and it only feeds of what we apply on and what we intake, so be wise on what you put on your skin, it all goes inside of you!!!
For everything else... there is a collagen infusion, to plump, stimulate, tone, clear and deeply hydrate your skin...
I will be doing free seminars to teach you how to use your skincare products properly and to demonstrate the results of this wonderful therapy, if interested let me know!

The Health Benefits of Tea

It's a rite of summer, setting out the tea jar!!. With all the health benefits of tea, is even more welcome than ever. There's compelling evidence that tea reduces the risk of heart disease, and possibly even helps prevent cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

Indeed, tea is considered a superfood -- whether it's black, green, white, or oolong tea. All those tea types come from the same tea plant, Camellia sinensis. The leaves are simply processed differently. Green tea leaves are not fermented; they are withered and steamed. Black tea and oolong tea leaves undergo crushing and fermenting processes.

All teas from the Camellia plant are rich in polyphenols, antioxidants that detoxify cell-damaging free radicals in the body. Tea has about eight to 10 times the polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables, according to long-time tea researcher John Weisburger, PhD, senior researcher at the Institute for Cancer Prevention in Valhalla, N.Y.

The Truth About Tea

Studies of humans, animals, and petri-dish experiments show that tea is high beneficial to our health. Research suggests that regular tea drinkers -- people who drink two cups or more a day -- have less heart disease and stroke, lower total and LDL cholesterol, and recover from heart attacks faster. There's also evidence that tea may help fight ovarian and breast cancers.

Tea also helps soothe stress and keep us relaxed. One British study found that people who drank black tea were able to de-stress faster than those who drank a fake tea substitute. The tea drinkers had lower levels of cortisol, a stress hormone.

The Secret Ingredient in Tea

Catechins, a type of disease-fighting flavonoid and antioxidant, are the keys to tea's health benefits. Here's a tip: The longer you steep the tea, the more flavonoids you'll get in your brew.

To get the best tea benefit, some studies suggest drinking three cups each day to cut heart disease risk. Since iced tea is diluted, it's a lighter source of flavonoids -- but it still counts!

Choose to drink tea whenever you can, especially as a substitute for soft drinks. In the long run, drinking tea helps tote up the antioxidants you get in a day's time.

In this picture I have a blend of pomegranate skin and seeds, green tea leaves, hibiscus flowers, ginger and chamomile flowers.
